AWARENESS: ANGELA SIMMONS IN THE NUDE FOR PeTA

Pastry co-founder Angela Simmons is the next celebrity to bare it all for PETA’s latest campaign. The 24 year-old daughter of Run DMC’s Rev. Run, posed classily for the non-profit’s latest vegetarianism spread with the message of “Eating Meat Is a Sin: Go Vegetarian”. In an interview with the organization, Angela shared how her uncle Russell Simmons inspired her adoption of a vegetarian diet:

I went on PETA.org one day and at the time i wasn’t a vegetarian yet, and I was making the whole transition. I’m a vegetarian now. I really want people to know what happens to animals. They have feelings. I think it’s important that we take action. [...] I want to open people’s eyes up and I want people to check it out. I want to help raise money. I want do things. I want to help.

My uncle, Russell Simmons has been a vegen for a really long time. When I was younger, he was vegan and I kind of paid attention here and there. He let me watch a video that kind of threw me off and was like, ‘I don’t want to eat any meat.’ At first I was really afraid of doing it because I’m like ‘protein, I’m not going to feel good. I’m going to feel weak.’ There’s protein in a lot things and I’m happy with it. I feel lighter. It’s a good feeling.

DJ Komori & Cassie – Sound of Love (full) – listen
Cassie has been making a splash back on the music scene. Check out this brand new track, produced by DJ Komori with the Bad Boy signee’s vocals. Although, always a fan of Cassie’s delivery, this production is a little overbearing. Something about the mix seems really loud.

Crystal Nicole – Haunted Heart (full) – listen
Songwriter Crystal Nicole, more widely known as Cristyle, is working on her debut album, so it’ll be interesting to see how much of the material that leaks is actually hers, considering being an accomplished songwriter. It’ll be difficult to tell whether or not these tracks are meant for her, or simply demos for other artists.

Candice Pillay feat. Shawnna – Dirty Diana (full) – listen
Has Atlanta-based producer Bangladesh found himself a new music in Candice Pillay? He produced her debut single, “Smooches,” featuring Kelly Rowland, now she brings us a track with former DTP signee Shawnna, entitled “Dirty Diana.” Little is known about Candice, but Bangladesh seems to have faith the new artist.
