Reality television personality La La Anthony is on the cover of Today’s Black Women Star Report magazine for their December 2011 issue. Inside the Love, Loss & What I Wore actress discloses how she achieves her goals successfully and balances her own life with that of her marriage:
On her overall approach to success:
“You have to set a goal and really work towards it. A lot of people say, ‘I want to do this, I want to do that,’ but what are you doing to get to that goal? If you want to act, are you in acting classes? It takes that kind of commitment to get better at a craft, and people see the final result; but they don’t know the work it takes to do these kinds of things.”
On her acting career:
“I just wrapped Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, which is based on Steve Harvey’s book. I’m really excited about that one. It’s really funny but has a great message. There’s an incredible cast; you have Taraji Henson, Gabrielle Union, Meagan Good, Michael Ealy, Kevin Hart…I mean the list goes on and on. To be a part of a cast like that is awesome.”On having a successful AND balanced marriage:
“You need to have your own thing going on, so you can live in your world as well as in the world of your relationship.”

“The things I liked when I was, like, 16 and in the Bronx—jeans, cut-up T-shirts—I still like. But I’ve been exposed to so much now from traveling the world and seeing couture clothes. I used all of that when I created my new line for Kohl’s. My style has come from everything, from where I started to where I am today.”On her lesson on love and relationships:
“I think I’ve finally learned the biggest lesson of all. You’ve got to love yourself first. You’ve got to be OK on your own before you can be OK with somebody else. You’ve got to value yourself and know that you’re worth everything. And until you value yourself enough and love yourself enough to know that, you can’t really have a healthy relationship.”

I use to be a real fan of LaLa V but I met her a few weeks ago. Wow, she really is full of herself. My best friend had to be her makeup artist on the VH1 set and she was so snobbish. By doing this, non black women are allowed to stay soft and feminine and they will be more attractive to men period because of that. All the while the black woman has to take the time to confront, in your face hateful black women and therefore she becomes ugly too because of the hate and put downs and become then less attractive. Then the man receives the judgment against her to himself and he won’t see her as worthy anymore and he leaves to what black women will uphold in their mouth and attitude and that is non-black. Then the irony is those same black women will say there he goes with a white women again if they had nothing to do with the whole phenomenon.
