After serving time in jail and then later signing a new multi-million dollar football contract, life for Michael Vick has been taking a turn for the best. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback posed for the October/November 2011 issue of UPTOWN magazine and talked about his life lessons in victory, failure & deliverance:
On the Philadephia Eagles fans embracing his return:
“It was awesome. When I was running out onto the field I was listening to see what the reaction was going to be, I was very pleased. I really didn’t expect that reaction, but I was very thankful.”“I never thought this day would come. … [Two years ago], I was happy just to be on a team. When I was in prison, I prayed for another opportunity. And when I signed with the Eagles, that opportunity had come. I was ecstatic at that point, and I’m even happier now.”
On growing up and learning from his mistakes:
“I am determined to become a better student of the game and I knew I had to work at it,” says Vick. “I was young when I was in Atlanta. I’m older now. I’ve been through a lot and I think I’ve matured. I had some good years there, but I’m just so thankful to be in Philadelphia right now. I could not have landed in a better city. This is my home. This is where I want to be, and I take this opportunity seriously.” [Source]

WALE TALKS THE GAME OF HIP-HOP IN ‘ROLLING OUT’

D.C.-native/rapper Wale is on the cover of Rolling Out‘s weekly publication. In the issue, the Maybach Music Group artist talked about the game of hip-hop, how his deal with Rick Ross’ label came about and how he felt about dark-skinned women’s reaction to his “Pretty Girls” video:
On when Rick Ross reached out to him:
The Maybach Music Group deal came about when I was a free agent. I look at Rick Ross as more than an artist. I didn’t sign to be a side kick, I want to be an artist and do what I’m capable of doing musically. Ross let’s me do that. He’s the boss at the label, but he’s not bossing me around. On catching flack for not having dark-skinned females in his “Pretty Girls” video:
It wasn’t about that, but it showed me what I meant to the black culture. That made me realize that people hold me at a higher regard. That was when I knew I had to make a change. For “Pretty Girls,” I didn’t go on set until there were dark-skinned girls at the video shoot. I was waiting. The most horrible feeling in the world, was that my women think that I don’t care about them. I’d rather go broke than for my black women to think that I don’t care about them. I would rather lose everything than to have my queens think I’m turning my back on them. I was the only kid in my neighborhood with a father. And that’s because I’m African and they don’t divorce. It messed me up. When I was in Mississippi, a girl told me she had her first child at 16. So I made a song called “Illest B—- Alive.” There’s a special place in my heart for black girls. If you’re black and have a black mother, you know how special they are. [Source]

…and you’re too ignorant to know you sound like a fool. stfu
TooHotForTV… That’s their preference. EVERYONE has something about them someone doesn’t find appealing..It doesn’t make them less than,it just doesn’t appeal to someone. She didn’t say too black she said too dark. And she didn’t say he was unattractive because he’s dark. I hear people going in on how light skin brothas are played out, yada, yada… But let someone say something about someone dark..it’s a war of words. BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL..remember that and next time you won’t get upset over a comment like this.
BKALLDAY… Some things you can’t say out loud..lol especially on the internet. I don’t know how old you are,I’m gonna assume you are really young;but when you get older, dark chocolate might look a lil different to you. lol
mike vick is sexi ….
FUCK Michael Vick, he look like a dirty gorilla on that cover! Straight up ASSHOLE and anyone who supports his raggedy ASS!
Michael Vick is a good example of how quickly one’s “career” can be rejuvenated when they bow down to the Baphomet and get down with the B0ULE. This will go over most people’s heads, but he was put through a Horus ritual of rebirth. He started as an Atlanta “Falcon” (Horus), he was brought to his lowest point due to the death of the dogs (Anubis), and now he has been rejuvenated and reborn with the Philadelphia “Eagles” (Osiris) as the “Green Man”.
On another note, Wale is clearly a h*mosexual, but he makes a point worth noting one of the differences between the blacks of the captivity and the ones from Africa. Divorce is as much a part of marriage in the black community as sh*tting is to eating, and that’s due to the black woman’s belief that she is the black man’s head. All the nonsense about “dark-skinned” black women in videos is just another manifestation of the black woman’s idiocy and her infatuation with herself. The black woman doesn’t know if she wants to have a video filled with “dark-skinned women” or if she doesn’t want to be viewed as a “sex object” smh & lol.
A couple of questions, please? I’m not familiar with Wale, so I’m not a fan…but curious as to why you say he’s ‘clearly a homosexual’? Also, do you dislike Black women? Honest question. Peace and blessings.
Damn!!! he is so FINE.
Dang Mike. You looks guud. He’s delectable. (Licking my lips)I feel as if almost everyone deserve a second chance. I’m happy for him that he has been given one. You must be careful of the people you have around you. Not everyone means well.
