After much anticipation, Beyoncé finally releases a video for fan favorite from her latest album, 4, “Party,” produced by Kanye West. Instead of Kanye and André 3000, this video version features North Carolina rapper J. Cole.
The video, which premiered on BET’s 106 & Park today, features a myriad of cameos, including friend & former bandmate Kelly Rowland and her fashionista sister Solange as the party’s DJ. The clip was co-directed by Alan Furgeson and Beyoncé.

Expect a few more releases from Beyoncé this era. It’s rumored that there’s two more videos coming out, as well as the intimate concert DVD. The Elements of 4: Live At Roseland DVD is slated to hit stores right in time for Thanksgiving, on November 21st, exclusively at WalMart. A deluxe edition of the DVD will drop the following week, on the 29th, including a video anthology from 4 and some exclusive behind the scenes footage.

I was not a Beyoncé fan until this risky 4 album. The fact that she refused to bow down to the currents trends and stayed true to herself and her artistry made me want to support her. The songs and the videos are absolutely incredible and are in concordance. 7 deserves every R&B Grammy Award and every award for Best Female. It vocals meaning, it’s mature, it has vocals, live intruments and it screams timeless, which is rare nowadays. Standing ovation for you darling for not going the commercial route and giving us artistic music. You are not here for this commercial meaningless techno electro designed exclusively for itunes charts and radios. R&B music that goes through time from the sounds of the 70′s to present. She is truely a Queen and I love the retro video and song, ghetto and old school, it’s just like that that I imagined it, good job Beyoncé!

I hated the album ! The vocals drove me so crazy ! Every song was full of run-on notes ” oooh, oh, o-o-o-o-, ooooh, ew, hah hul” switch to next song same thing going through the whole CD. The song is cool, could have been an earlier single. The video has character, but looks like bits and pieces of this was shot from album promos and old photoshoots from April, and they just added in the pool scene like last minute. It is pretty much a no brainer that 4′ hasn’t had the appeal that her previous albums have had, but she has accomplished enough already to take a backseat on this round. But all in all, fun song, though it is stalling as #7 on ONLY the R&B Charts, and yes, JCole is NO Andre.

Alot black women hate hard on real pretty black women. This is the reason why we are seen as unappealing to others compared to other races of women because of the uncalled for hatred. This was so talked about in some special on Beyonce growing up when Beyonce was a child and other little black girls would act stank towards her and she didnt do a thing to them. Solange called it out too. Little black hateful women in training just like their mothers raised them to be. Keri Hilson talks about it in Pretty girl. Not all black women are like this but a huge number are evil jealous haters no matter what you do.
So glad Beyonce keep doing her thang. The best way to handle a hater is to keep doing you. Make sure you fly everytime they see you so they can be consumed with hateful facial expression, making them more ugly. Especially the black women that dont dress up or style their hair or put on a stitch of makeup….most evil or the ones that try and fail because their ugly attitude just wont cover up. So for Beyoncé’s standards, she is doing Beyoncé and is platinum, outselling anyone who is in the hot 100, they sell singles without selling albums which is not her case. By the end of the day, the woman spent 36 weeks on the top of the hot 100, had a billboard MILLENIUM award and was the most productive artist of the past ten years according to billboard so she can sleep well. Making a pure retro R&B/Soul music in these days and age is a commercial risk, excepting if you’re a white chick like Amy whinhouse or Adele and ppl gon be impressed by a white girl not doing the traditional pop and going to the r&b route. So Beyoncé’s case has nothing to do with Papa Knowles or flops, she knows this and is OBVIOUSLY not here to desperately have a #1 otherwise she wouldnt have done 4. There are far more talented and creative people like Kelis, Janelle Monae, Solange… who never chart well but are by far more intesresting and creative, with real artistry than anyone in the hot 100, does it make them flop cause they dont sell? She is so pretty. Solange looked better in this video. I like this version better. I think Andre’s version was too vulgar for my liking. This has more appeal. The video takes you way back to those simple house parties.

I have kinda fallen out of love with R&B lately between auto tune and vulgar lyrical content. This album is such a throwback. Totally evokes memories of my junior high/high school days (simpler times). It just seems so much more organic and relatable to me as a piece of art compared to her previous work. BRAVO B!
