♫ Carl Thomas – Don’t Kiss Me
Remember R&B crooner Carl Thomas? The former Bad Boy signee released his last album, So Much Better, on independent label Bungalo Records in 2007, but he’s back with new music and has signed with a new label.
Carl says fellow soul singer Maxwell served as inspiration to make music again:
“I saw my good brother Maxwell and I listened to his last project before it came out and it reminded me of the integrity that we are supposed to be having as R&B artists. It reminded me of how much of an honor it was to uphold this lineage of Black music. It got the ball rolling for me again.
I am back. Do you know why? I am back because this game will tell the truth on you. If you are meant for it, it won’t allow you to stray away for too long.”
“Don’t Kiss Me”, a smooth, soulful throwback track produced by Rico Love, is the first single from his fourth album, Conquer, which will be released Dec. 6 via Verve Music Group.

I loves me some Carl Thomas, yes I do!! But this song has a 1950′s, 1960′s feel to it and I don’t like that. Maybe if they do a remix and let somebody else produce it, like the same producers from the previous albums, this song will be fire. I’m glad Carl Thomas is back though….

Wow, wow! Just heard it today on the radio and I googled it because I wanted to hear it again and again. “Don’t Kiss Me” has a really smooth sound and the words just touch me. I love it and can’t wait until the album is released. Way to go Carl because this one will be a shonuff hit!
