♫ Willow Smith – Fireball feat. Nicki Minaj
After getting positive reviews for her first catchy single, “Whip My Hair”, Willow Smith has been hard at work on her debut album. The 10 year-old life of the party dropped a new track entitled “Fireball”, featuring Young Money’s first lady, Nicki Minaj. The Stoopid Robots-produced song is a head nodder and a fun tune for the youngins. No word on when her untitled album will drop or whether this song will be included.
Now what you may or may not know about this young lady is that she’s also a dancer – a ballet dancer. Peep the video below as the very talented singer works on the creative process behind the making of her first self-penned song, “The Epiphany”. Definitely had no idea she was into ballet. Gone ‘head girl!

“Fireball” is not the follow up to “Whip My Hair”. “21st Century Girl” was and it didn’t go anywhere or do anything.
the song is cool (minus) Nicki Minaj…..but her lyrics are a bit grown for a 10 yr old to have in a song

She sounds great and love that she’s having fun in the studio. She has so much passion , plus writes her own song.
You have to understand that from the time she was in the womb until now, Will and Jada have told her that she can do and be anything. Yes some of their “new age” beliefs are weird, the whole “Universe will provide and the law of attraction” and all of that weird stuff. But at the same time extremely positive reinforcement of your children can make them into amazing people. Its the same concept that Asian family’s use in the US. Its not that Asian kids are any smarter than a Black or Latino counterpart, the difference is that from the time the child begins to learn firm expectations are in place, and the child is guided and helped to excel in school and graduate from college. All of these things are repeatable, there are people in this world who are truly “gifted” with something special from God, the Stevie Wonders, Princes , MJ’s and what not. But we see them at the top of their game, no one shows you the years and years of dedicated practice and discipline that enable the folks I mentioned to be what they are. The vast majority of people in this world can excel in nearly any field that they wish with hard work and focus. So the fact that this 10 year old sounds as good or better than people 10-15 years older than her and writes songs is amazing but certainly not unobtainable for any other child or adult.
Yessssss Willow! She betta get it! She is so damn talented! People can’t even hate now and say that she got a deal just because of her parents, I mean the girl actually has skills. The video proves it! Fuck a Rihanna, this girl has the potential to be the next Beyonce!
A lot of what makes Willow special is that unlike most of us she does not have the same filters in her mind that other have. She is not worried about what people think of her or what the opinons of others are, at least not to the degree that most people do. See how freely she is able to express herself, in a room full of people? Even the record producers and folks standing around had a degree of apprehension that just was not present in Willow. ANYONE can be like this, people are born with certain personality traits, but how a person is raised and the environment in which they are brought up plays a much larger part than you would think.
If you are allowed to be an individual instead of being “beaten into submission” by an adult or guardian, than more of the true essence of who you are is able to flow outward. Should you let your kids do what ever they want and not discipline them? Heck no, but I there should be a balance .
I have to agree with you there…Its hard to let your individuality shine as an adult when you couldn’t do it in your young years. I have always said when I have kids they will be raised the way you stated above. People should take note for studies have been done on this.

I was thinking the same thing!!!! The beat is a BEAST! I am sitting hit rockin’ hard to it, like where all this come from out of a 10-year old? But hey, she killed this song. I don’t normally care for Nicki, but I liked their voice together on this. This is a HUGE hit for Willow. I think the adults will be liking this more than the kids. LOL!

TALENTED! Reminds me of myself when I was a kid. Without someone screaming sit down and be quiet. The plus about Willow is her parents are well versed in the area that she is going in. Some regular parents have kids just like Willow and have absolutely no idea what to do with them, hence the sit yo self down somewhere and be quiet. One question though, why Nicki Minaj? Could they have found someone a little more age appropriate that wouldn’t be on stage the next night dancing with sex toys? Diggy Simmons would have been excellent for that piece. IMHO
