In CNN’s latest edition of the Black in America series, Soledad O’Brien follows the life and entrepreneurial journey of 8 African-American business men and women working hard at launching their own start-up company in the predominately, young, Caucasian world of Silicon Valley.
They all live in one residence while attending a new media boot camp program, NewMe Accelerator. The programs aims to work hard at diversifying the web and technological land.. In addition, the participants learn about the stressful realities of pitching their ideas in 6 minutes to elite investors. Check out the trailer after the jump.

This is bullsh*t that dont even talk about real ish thats going on in America. They’re trying to get black people to watch stuff like this to brain wash us into thinking we have a chance in America when they are really laughing at us behind our backs. We need to wake up people they have laws in place to kill us if we even try to rise up against them like the King Alfred Plan, how aids virus was targeted to kill our people and how when blacks sign up for the army that place them in areas were you’re most likely to get killed.
It does not help when you think the whole world is again you. People are always gonna discriminate based on gender, age, skin colour, nationality and all, but that should NEVER stop anyone from working hard and having a go at life. It sound like you already gave up before even trying.
The world is not perfect as it is now but it certainly better than 30 years ago. Get onboard or get left behind. Try to see the glass as half full rather than half empty.

i feel you you have to really look at things as two-sided. because that commit about blacks in the army is just not true, for one there are more whites in those jobs as blacks, i know i’m in the army. and for two the reason those people are in those jobs is because they choose those jobs when u enlist to the army you pick your job, but if you haven’t done your homework and really look into what job does what, and just look at the bonus that they are willing to give you then thats what you get. i three boys and i will never tell them that just because they’re black they shoudn’t shoot for the stars. you are that dumb negro that’s killing the black community. the problem is that we think the only way to make is in sports or entertainment, not knowing the people who really make it don’t do either one.

It is so sad to read the views of individuals where we defeat ourselves before we even challenge ourselves.
We continue to convience ourself and our children that the system is holding us back we are doing it. The only way that we are going to succeed is to stop placing limits and blocks before us. Blacks can accomplish and succeed as much as any other race.
