VIDEO: ROBIN GIVENS IS BACK TO ACTING IN ‘SHOULD’VE PUT A RING ON IT’

October 10th, 2011

Looks like Robin Givens is back to working her acting chops. In conjunction with Conquest Films, Givens alongside, Miguel Nunez, Bobby V., Veronica Rodriquez and Tiara Gathright will be starring in a new independent film, Should’ve Put A Ring On It. In the movie, Givens’s character Sherri and her friends debate on marriage and whether proposals should still be left up to the man. The Jason Horton-directed film is on DVD and can be ordered here. Good to see Givens is back to film again. Now what’s up with that Waiting to Exhale remake though?

I thought that the point of the black woman in entertainment marrying and having children with a white man is to become a star in Hollywood? Why is this female still stuck on the chitlin circuit lol?

It’s a shame how pathetic the Black film industry is…I might as well add the music and book industry to the list since I’m venting.

Agreed. I can’t even look at the urban book section anymore. And this movie should have never been made.

This is going straight to DVD right? It looks OK. Its just not worth going to the movie house, paying for matinee. I’ll check it out on DVD.

It is so good to see Robin Givens back to work acting. After all the crap she has been put through because of her split with Mike Tyson, she deserves kudos for having the guts to put it all behind her and get back in front of the camera again. She really and truly has, as the phrase goes, true grit.
