I personally like Bridget Kelly’s rendition better, but I was a little taken aback when Shanell wasn’t given credit for writing the song when the Every Girl EP dropped.

I heard Shannell had no idea her song was “sold” to someone and wasn’t even given credit.
I think they both have talent but that song is not my cup of tea.

Bridget Kelly has a great voice and she’s singing it very well, but I think the song fits better to Shanell’s voice. It fits her like a glove.

I think Shanell did better. This was a dramatic song , and shanell had more of a dramatic effect with me. and the fact that she stole it, makes it worst on her part, she can sing. but it was wrong. shanell got this
I was so surprised when I read this. And the fact that she wasn’t given credit — although I wasn’t a big fan of Bridget Kelly, I did download her mixtape, but I think lower of her now because of this.

I loooove this song!! BK killed this, so I voted her but it’s hard to really compare because Shanell’s is an obvious demo/rough version.
I was thinking the same thing… I like BK better but it sounds mastered and Shanell’s does not. I like Shanell though. I want her to really come out and do her own thing. I wish both ladies luck in the business
BK murdered this track. Shanells version was very boring. Shanell needs to talk to Frank Ocean about owning a song you wrote cause BK’s version of “Thinking about you” wasn’t nowhere near Franks
Shanell’s original version blew me away. The song fits her perfectly…perhaps because she wrote and recorded it first. Roc Nation/Bridgett Kelly thievery aside (I heard they stole the song and didn’t pay or give credit for it), BK is very talented but every song isn’t fit for every voice and I’m sorry but BK does no justice to Shanell’s song. BK has some hype around her right now which is why some of these votes about this song are leaning her way.
At the end of the day Shanell and Bridget are both very talented and are BOTH about to rock the game. However, it’s unfortunate that the subject surrounding these two is about BK and her team spitting in the face of another artist by stealing a song. I searched on the internet and couldn’t find Shanell’s “White Lies” anywhere last week. Was it even out? How did Roc Nation get their hands on it? I read the song was originally set to be on Shanell’s album. Not sure if BK was fully involved but it makes her look REALLY shady a little too early in her career. Hide your purse if BK is around. LOL!

ok hands down i’m found of both female shanel is my hommie and so is bk shanel gave the record r&b vibe….but bridget is a rock chick so she gave it more a rock & roll edgy more of a vibe…both killed the record…bk just add more drama to the record…shanel could’ve dune the same if she did’nt treat it as a deal….i think bk will bring this tune home and shanel will enjoy the publishing fat checks lol #easy money lol who cares
Are we sure Shanell wrote this song? cause the judge on the intro of her version sounds just like ne-yo talking, and he even says Judge Smith(ne-yo’s last name) perhaps he wrote it, demo’d it with Shanell but ultimately it was his song so he ended up giving to Bridget(which would make more sense seeing that they both are roc nation artists)
Both of these chicks can SANG! I love the song and the musical arrangements. I’d LOVE to cop this for my car! Eitehr version will do…I’m partial to Shannell, because her voice is so soft and pretty. But that other girl did her thing, too…fuck it, it’s a tie.

I give it to Bridget. Shanell sounds a lot better on this, than she does on the song with Wayne and Drake, but she doesn’t have the gusto needed for this song, her voice sounds to mousy.
Shanell’s voice fits the song better but Bridget Kelly has a better voice.
MY FAVORITE song off of Bridget Kelly’s EP “Every Girl”! I listen to this song religiously! So of course my vote goes to BK! Although, I DID listen to Shanell’s original so I wouldn’t have a bias opinion. I liked it, but I rather BK’s version. She made you feel the song for what it really was. I mean…she’s pleading someone’s death…gotta have all the emotion in the world when you’re trying to prove innocent, lol.
