Much to fans delight, Rihanna releases her second single from her anticipated sixth studio album, Talk That Talk, in the form of the Dr. Luke-produced track, “You Da One.”
The track is written by Ester Dean, who has penned plenty of hits for the young starlet since Rated R. Talk That Talk will hit stores November 21st.

As a pop artist and a well-versed musician I take offense with that statement! Pop music is a melting pot. It's bold, it's raw, it's whatever it needs to be. Sure, there are lesser representations within the genre but in totality, Pop represents some of the best things music can be. Every song doesn't need to be overly complicated. Vocal ability or production aside, the message is clear: You're the one. What's wrong with being able to understand less than 1 minute into the song? There's no substance there?

her perform any of her songs bare, without any background vocals or music. Just once I would like to see her perform an acoustic version of one of her songs. She is not a “voice” she is an “image”.
I’m not a Rihanna fan but I will admit that I like most of her songs which for the most part is pop. I mean, she’s clearly no RiRi or even J.Hud, but I think there is room for everyone. She may not be your cup of tea but she clearly has an audience and has become one of the most respected female artist (up there with Mariah and Whitney) whether you like it or not.
For the record, Michael Jackson NEVER played an instrument. They even did a shoot with him holding a guitar that he didn’t even know how to play. It was all about image with him, too. He finally broke away and did his own thing much like what Rihanna is doing now. She is the most versatile, influentuial, iconic singer or this generation period.

When have Rihanna sang the LIVE..she’s no more than a RECORDING artist. In my book, nothing is iconic about a RIHANNA! What song will you be rocking to in the next 20 years that Rihanna recorded. I meant she is an icon in a sense of “image” and being idolized (is she not?). Even though Rihanna has reinvented herself throughout the years she has been pretty consistent still. This single is horrible! I always listen to new songs from music artists, whether I like them or not to hear what they sound like and I laughed at this. Tell me why it sounds like a Justin Beiber and Mindless Behavior single? Is she serious with that young, boyish voice and these childish lyrics? How can you dumb Rihanna stans say that Rihanna is so creative and a great artist when she makes meaningless music like this? I also heard snippets of “Talk That Talk” and I was just like… how immature is this album? That’s all she talks about is sex, loving her baby and being a bad girl.
