Saw this performance last night and downloaded the song. She was fighting tears during this performance. I wonder what her story is. Seems like we all have one. I hope this does well. One of the best songs I’ve heard this year.

Didn’t watch Black Girls Rock but I heard this song on BasketballWivesLA last night. Thought this was Mary J Blige. Great song… I love it
I heard it on there too! LOL!
But I did see the performance on Sunday for BGR!
That was real and raw…I loved it
Man, Estelle did a great job. You can tell she was singing that song to “someone”. Real music!!!!!
You know people dont realize how easily you can scar a persons heart, either by simply saying something, or treating a person a certain way…Estelle hit it on the nail, we have to go through hurt to reach a higher point in life…But sometimes the hurt stays with us for life…God Bless you Estelle….Thank You, For making this song
Thank you for your comment. I needed to read these words. Shout-out to Estelle for making an amazing song!
So true…I have learned from my past mistakes and many people say to just move one because he did. But like you said, sometimes that hurt remains with us for a very long time. My abusive relationship ended in 2005. It is now 2011 and I still remember the unnecessry pain and anguish that man put me through. But it truly has made me stronger and now I know the warning signs and I heed to them immediately.
So I thank you for making me become a much stronger person. I’m still here, and still blessed !!!

They liked that performance? That was hard to even watch. She sounded horse, raspy and dry. Was she sick? That girl can sing way better than that

And not to mention, she looked stunning!
I’m getting a Mary vibe too…great performance!
Wow that was deep. Estelle looked beautiful and this is a great performance. It takes a while for the pain to heal when someone does you wrong, but in the end, remember it all comes back to them.
When Estelle hit the first note, I was hooked … now the tune is in my head. I had to replay the song numerous times, because it was so powerful, so real, so “Black Girls Rock”!!!! I will be purchasing it!
