So how many of you tuned in to VH1 Divas Celebrate Soul on Monday night? What were some of your favorite or funniest highlights? We’re not even gonna talk about the hilarious viewer comments during the performances on Twitter. LOL
Speaking of performance, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkon, Chaka Khan, Jill Scott, and Erykah Badu were among those to hit the stage. It was ummm very interesting to see their choice of artist/singer combinations.

WOW, they look stunning…
Ok so I clicked on the youtube video shown and watched Funky Dineva’s ‘Vh1 Divas’ Review… it was funny for a while and then I ended despising him. He used God’s name in vain constantly and was generally mean spirited and vile towards the lovely ladies that performed. Not cool at all.
Why do we glorify coonery?
Why did funky dineva have to bring up Jhud’s family that way? Nobody would wish that on themselves. That crossed the line.
Looked like a great show.
That was one of the WORST and most ignorant reviews I have ever seen. Concrete Loop, I come on here cause u guys are not as tacky as the rest of these black blogs out there. I am very disappointed at his behavior, talking about anyone looking like a hot mess. There was nothing funny about his review.
Aside from that, the show was amazing. and EVERYONE did an amazing job. I just wish VH1 had threw in a few more major divas in this show. Toni Braxton, Mariah, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland…. I just feel like we have strong females who could have been on that stage to create a stronger show. As for young divas, Melanie Fiona was definitely missing.

You must be a beyonce stan….why do you people feel she needs to be at every event?. There are much better singers in this world who have true talent…and not just the ability to shake their ass. Let other more talented singers have a chance to shine for once, and let that attention starved bitch go take care of her baby.
I think I liked the concept overall but the performances could have been better. If I had to pick winners of the night it has to be Sharon Jones, Ledisi, Marsha Ambrosius, Kelly Clarkson, Black Thought & The Roots. The “Sweet Love” and “Back to Life” performances were my favorites.

I’m for the cause,but I couldn’t watch after 8 mins. Very blah!!!
PREACH! I stayed to try and make myself like the show…..after an hour, I felt even more bored and sick of it. The cake topper was that OLDDDDD White singer who couldn’t even start her song right. It was just sad.
That was one of the worst shows I have ever seen. I want them to give Mary, Chaka, Marsha, etc a break. They are on every show and I’m not impressed. What happened to the real DIVA’s? The songs were awful, the collaborations were even worse. Where was Toni, Anita, Gladys, etc…
Jill Scott is so darn pretty! Erykah is too …..but man does she tried hard to look ugly

Marsha looks and sounds great, didn’t like Ledisi singing Anita sorry, Marsha shouldve sung the whole song. Jhud may have lost the weight but not her voice!

So Jennifer Hudson was just waiting for Beyonce to sit down so she could come out and try to look like her. Please sit down. We want Beyonce to do something different so we damn sure don’t need another one.
