Leon “Eklipz” Robinson has been a rap renaissance man of sorts since Hip Hops birth in the late seventies as a noted emcee (as a part of Crown A’ Thornz group), graffiti artist, noted photographer, videographer and now published author and illustrator.
The Canadian multi-medium artist has brought to life the larger than life icons of Hip Hop with an uncanny sense of personality and style with the release of Hip Hop Homage, a glossy hardcover book packed with color and culture that showcases fifty of Hip Hop’s most influential men and women.

I LOVE the Soul Rebels! I was just telling a friend the other day about unknown NOLA hip hop such as the bounce scene (which has been starting to get more and more well known outside of NOLA). Many of the best local bounce artists such as Cheeky Blakk and Big Freedia are starting to play shows outside of NOLA and collaborating with brass bands such as Rebirth. Soul Rebels are all of it in one package AND they have been touring for a while now (and even performing with diverse acts such as Metallica). Their sound is really up and coming and getting more popular. If you love a party time and love New Orleans jazz & hip hop check these guys out! Look them up on YouTube and see if you like it! Currently they are touring themselves, but will be touring with Galactic soon and possibly New Master Sounds!
