Previous American Idol winner Ruben Studdard hasn’t released any music since 2009′s Love Is, but he’s back with a new single, “Rock Witcha,” featuring Memphis native K. Michelle. The track (which is a Bobby Brown remake), is lifted from his upcoming fifth studio album, Letters From Birmingham, which is slated to hit stores next year.

I think it’s a little slow, but I love Reuben’s voice! K Michelle is one of my favs and I think she needed more of a solo part in there somewhere. It’s ok though.

I feel sad when I hear this. I mean obviously the label feels the need to have the man make a remake as a single because he has nothing else to offer.
The good news is that Reuben won’t make any money so he won’t have to worry about his wife getting anything in the divorce.
I love this! I’m glad to hear Ruben taking on some real music. Love, Love, Love it! Can’t wait to hear more from the album.
