Clearly 2011 is not the year for Papa Knowles. First Mathew Knowles loses his daughter as a client, then he gets sued by the TV One network for breaching an exclusive deal over the Essence Music Festival. Now Radio One (TV One’s sister company) is pulling music by all and any artists currently signed to or associated with Knowles’ music company, Music World Music. 
According to an employee at Radio One, the head woman in charge, chairperson and founder, Cathy Hughes, is NOT having it with Mr. Knowles or any act currently associated with him:
“All Radio One personnel were told to pull all Music World artists out of rotation immediately and indefinitely! We were told that the mandate came straight from Ms. Hughes and that there would be ramifications for anyone playing or mentioning a Music World artist or song on air…Radio One owns at least 12 gospel stations across the country – that’s the majority. It’s hard for artists to sell CD’s without radio airplay! Right now Music World definitely isn’t getting any from Radio One.” [Source]
With Radio One serving as a valuable tool for promoting gospel artists, this basically puts Knowles’ popular gospel artists like Juanita Bynum, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, Vanessa Bell Armstrong and BET’s Sunday’s Best newest winner Amber Bullock at a loss.
Lord have mercy what have you done now Matthew. Get it together man. Get your house in order.

You’re right. With all the money Matthew Knowles had he could have his own radio station. Instead he was too busy trying to control and steal from his daughter’s & other people’s career….smh. I wonder why he never venture out and had his own business. At least Tina launched her own clothing line.

I’m not surprised about this. Mathew was never good since he kicked out Letoya and Latavia out of the tour bus back in 1998 because Latavia was sick. Also threatened BET that if Letoya performs at the BET Awards he won’t let Beyonce be there, then the baby out of his marriage, the money stealing from his daughter, the lack of promo for Kelly, Michelle, Jon B, and all the other artist who left him, HE’S NO GOOD!!! Those gospel artists better run before they get even more screwed in the end. Here is a warning, NEW ARTISTS RUN AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!!
What no one is willing to realize is that the people that are really being effected are the artists. I am an artist and I would be mortified if a radio station did not play my music because of a beef with my label. I bet that Donald Trump would allow any of his enemies or rivals to stay at the Trump Hotel, or rent from the Trump towers. Why? Because he’s a business man and at the end of the day, it’s about being successful. Radio One is not thinking about the business and shame on them for making their audience and the artist suffer because of some personal beef. The next thing you know Big Boy’s morning show will refuse to play East Coast music because it’s based on the west? My point is, the CEO and Matthew Knowles need to duke it out man to man…or in this case woman to man. They have got to realize that some of their audience is going to shimmy on over to another station that will play this music. Get it together people. This is music, not a gang.
