This was obviously staged! But after reading these comments I just have to say that people are going to have opinions… As a black woman, I must say that it is nice to date a white man. Sad to say that Toni should have just said she was dating outside of her race and left it at that. However, it is very unfortunate, that race is still a huge issue. Dating different races should not be a problem. The problem comes in when media present dating outside of your race like its brand new. In my opinion, I feel that when a black man who gets upset that a black woman dates a white man he is very insecure. Many comments mentioned women wanting money. Women has always wanted money- That is part of finding a mate, finding a man who will care and protect her offspring. In the past, men provided for there families and understood the importance of it. Today men complain about taking care of their families and question why woman want their money blah blah blah.
1. If you are trying to court a woman you should try your best to win her over. Open the door for her, nice dinner, movies. Just being a gentleman.
2. Never think that because a woman is single is because she can no get a man or keep one. Because that is not the truth. Women are single because they prefer to be alone than deal with incompetence. Because the truth of the matter is this. I can buy my own meals, take my self shopping, travel. Take care of my business, etc. But when I have a MAN I expect him to be a man. I do not want to have to teach him how to be polite or how treat a woman that should already be there. I expect a man to pay for dates, show me a good time. I expect him to be the leader show me some new places, venues, foods, wines. Be able to hold an intellectual conversation with me in addition to being diverse. Small minded people think inside of a box and have a hard time coming out.
