The people over at VH1 have announced their plan to produce a scripted biopic film based on the career & lives of popular “Waterfalls” girl group, TLC. Kate Lanier, who has written scrips for hit films like “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” “Beauty Shop,” and “Set It Off,” will be lending her penning skills to the project. Of course it would only be right that former group members, Chilli and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins will serve as executive poducers of the movie.
When the news was announced, T-Boz & Chill issued their statements:
“The reality of this brings me to tears because I am seeing one of my dreams come to life. I alwaysfelt our story had to be told. What makes it even more amazing is having Kate Lanier on board. I remember watching ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’ with Lisa, and I knew then whoever wrote that story had to write ours. I will forever be thankful to [executive producer] Jeff Olde for believing in our story and going the extra mile to make it happen,” said Chilli.
“I’m just overjoyed. I appreciate Jeff Olde and everyone on staff at VH1 that took interest in us, thank you. Kate Lanier is amazing. I’m honored to work with her I love her art. Well here we go on another TLC ride and I can’t wait. Like Biggie said ‘Now if ya don’t know, now ya knowwwww,’” stated Tionne. [Source]
Looking forward to seeing how it turns out…

I’m excited for them and for the movie!
Very much excited for this!! This biopic is definitely long overdue! As the best female group of all time, this story definitely needed 2 be told!!
Finally! I am so happy.
What more can be said the documentry said it all.
Like someone said above… Finally! And they’re not “former group members” TLC is still together. :/ They are keeping it going for Lefteye, tour dates coming soon, and they are recording material. (T)he (L)egacy (C)otinues.

@TLCfan2011
WELL SAID!!!!
The best female group ever (Hold on I can’t forget about EnVogue). Everyone had their own talent, everyone shined and it wasn’t about any one of the members. This crap about one member somehow overshadowing the others is a load of crap. Thank you TLC for reminding us what a real female group (who remained clothed) looks like.
Amen!!!
as long as its not like the mj movie with flex, I’ll watch it. lol
Can’t wait after all they’ve been through they deserve it.
Will look forward to this. Will always reamin a fan of TLC.
