VIDEO: JENNIFER HUDSON SINGS A DUET W/ HERSELF FOR NEW WEIGHT WATCHERS COMMERCIAL
Singer/actress Jennifer Hudson has yet another Weight Watchers commercial out and this time she is singing a duet with her former self. The footage was taken from her past appearance on American Idol. At least she is singing a new song this time. LOL!

Jennifer Hudson's Whitney Houston Grammy Tribute: Pitch-Perfect
There is a whole generation of modern divas who grew up worshipping at the altar of Whitney Houston. Everyone from Mariah Carey to Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Rihanna and Beyoncé owes a huge debt to the legendary singer, who died at age 48 on ...
I am very happy for Jennifer. Love her to death. But i’m sick of these weight watchers commercials.
I agree…perhaps it would be so bad if she had some other projects that were visible…Im afraid Janet is next with Nutri system overkill…
Yall are right and its only gonna get worse. As the new year approaches the diet systems are gonna be promoting heavily.
love that commerical !!! LOVE HER NEW LOOK !
I don’t like this commercial one bit. I think she looks good heavier or slimmer. However, I do not believe in the weight watcher’s version of dieting. It is not for long term results because there is no emphasis on muscle toning and long term plans to keep the weight off without having to be on the program.
Wow!!!!
Nice!
Being over weight is not good, good job Jennifer.
+1
DOES WEIGHING LESS MEAN YOU ARE A BETTER PERSON? DO SKINNY PEOPLE HAVE IT ALL TOGETHER? WILL BEING THINNER AUTOMATICALLY MAKE YOU HAPPY? WILL ALL OF JENNIFER’S PROBLEMS NOW GO AWAY BECAUSE SHE LOST WEIGHT?
Not necessarily, but she has drastically decreased her risk for cardiac related diseases, diabetes, bone issues, and a whole gamut of other medical problems that plague American society because the majority of the population is overweight/obese. #firstworldproblems
theaveragejo,
let’s call a spade a spade. When people congratulate people for losing weight or complain about someone being too fat it is NOT out of concern for this strangers health. Being fat is considered ugly to most people and people like to act allergic to what they find aesthetically displeasing.
Being over weight is considered ugly by hollywood standards and Imo jen looked better lije she was. Just because she was thick doesnt mean that she had health issues. I wonder if in the future she will come out wirh a book talking about how she struggled to keep that hollywood size. I used to think she would be the one who would not conform to hollywoods standards.
@NINI
I am a black woman and not in hollywood, l found over weight black women ugly and unhealthy looking.
“Just because she was thick doesnt mean that she had health issues”
How old are you, do you understand the consequences of letting thickness or fat piling on your body year after year.
What do you think kill Heavy D? most likely he didn’t have health issues when he was young but it caught up with him.
Jennifer is fall from being hollywood size, she still have them hips, hollywood size standard don’t have noticeable hips.
I can’t believe that this is even something being ‘argued’ about.
Jhud was clearly overweight and unhealthy before- while on a superficial level people lose weight to ‘look good’ there are more important issues- like heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, joint issues, sleep issues etc.
Both of em was hollering LOL!
no ma’am miss pam. she looks great and i’m happy for her losing the weight…but my ears are bleeding nonetheless.

I love JHud, but this commercial is awful. I like the concept, but they didn’t pull it off well at all.
Good for her. Nice concept and I am happy that she made choices that make her a healthier person and decrease her risk for a whole lot of health issues.
I like J Hud, but I miss the way the old JHud sounded. Theres a difference to me. She always blew away the competition on A.I. Not sure what happened to the new and improved version, but I was a real fan to her before self as a singer. Congrats for her weight loss, her weight gain was more due to family eating habits. I call it peer eating, eat how momma and nem eat.
So proud of her! Go Jenn….
This was my eight year old daughter’s reaction: “WE GET IT! YOU LOST WEIGHT! WHY DOES SHE HAVE TO RUB IT IN OUR FACES? WHEN SHE GETS OLDER SHE WON’T EVEN HAVE THAT BODY ANYMORE!”
*slayed*
You sure this was the final cut for the commercial? Because the singing is loud and pitchy, and the editing is sloppy.
That’s why she didn’t win the Idol.
I’m tired of hearing about how being fat is unhealthy so is being too damn skinny. i am 60 pounds overweight and i am 4’9″ which puts me at close to 200 pounds. I don’t have high cholesterol, no high blood pressure, no diabetes, no health risks (blood work just taken) some people are not meant to be skinny. you can have weight on you and be healthy. by the same token i have a friend that is 120 pounds and is 5’6″…she has never been “fat” and she has asthma, type 1 diabetes and due to family history has a potential for high blood pressure. health risks come no matter the size. i was skinny and had kids and i am fine with my weight..i’m not saying that i’m trying to push 400 and still be without health risks, but i’m saying that just because i’m fat doesn’t mean i eat all day, pig out on sweets, and don’t work out. i am very solid and can bench press 220 lbs. and i have no problem posting a picture of myself and in my full body.
Sorry to inform you but you are obese your BMI is way over 40 at your height and weight. You may bot have any of the problems but you soon will. I am NOT trying to clown. I am 5’6 and 173 lbs, my highest weight was 188 and I dont even have any kids to show for it just a broken heart (at the time) but I felt slow and heavy because i had 50 lbs that i never had before and its not a good look. I have been working to loose them. Yes men would refer to me as thick but there are rolls where they shouldnt be and i know it. Thank God that you feel good about yourself but you have to know that your weight will likely increase and it will eventually take a toll. Be blessed.
one day you will drop dead like heavyD
@Submit to me- totally harsh and unnecessary.
@Dimples- there is saying that anecdotes is not the plural of data- in other words your friend is the exception to the rule.
You are absolutely right though, that the goal isn’t to just be skinny, but HEALTHY. You can def be skinny/thin and then die suddenly because you’re living on cigarettes and diet coke you know.
With that said, I don’t think there is a doctor in America (or anywhere) that will cosign someone with your height/weight ratio. Unless you’re extremely muscular maybe?
African Americans *are* more muscled, and have higher bone density so we can weigh more than say, a Caucausian, even though we’re both wearing the same clothes and have the same measurements.
But 60 lbs over is a lot!
The commericial is an awesome concept, however it was too screamy/pitchy- dunno if it was my pc speakers or the original audio.
Honestly though, Black women need to stop calling fat and obese as ‘thick’.
I get that Hollywierd has unrealistic standards, and you dont wan’t to be unhealthfully skinny/thin, but at the same time you need to be at a healthy weight for your age/weight.
Food and weight is another can of worms I think in the black community, because it seems that our identity (as women) is somehow is tied to thick asses and being able to throwdown in the kitchen, yet somehow not realize the consequences of poor health.
She looking greattttttttt n i bet feeling good,,lol
Happy Holidays yall

This commercial would be all good if she loss the weight on weight watchers it is quiet obvious that she had surgery…every person who does it gets those awful frown marks around there mouths I have 3 friends who have gastric and lab band and they have the same mouth as her…if you’re going to promote weight loss be honest about it!
Losing weight makes you feel good about yourself… When you feel good, you do good… Now,what other issues should occure, you just have to deal. But you are a better person once you lose a lot of weight.
O. K. Everyone, what saddens me to hear no one mention, …is just maybe she lost weight because she feels better about herself. When you know and truly feel you look good, it’s the best self esteem booster. Love JHud, but I’m a true Janet fan and she’s looked great for the past three years. Yo-yo dieting is not good for your mind, body or soul. Few people are naturally heavy, we eat too much and portions are way to big. When you learn to eat properly and not overheat, it frees you to be able eat what you want without getting fat. That’s what these ladies have learned. Way to rock it girls, keep up the good work!
I went from 196 to 140 with Weight Watchers. I now look like death lol. And I’ve NEVER had any type of health issues. People keep saying I look sickly. Damn. Can’t win either way lol. :/
Really though whats to celebrate i would lose 100lbs if you paid me too as well. I bet to ensure the proper results for their advertisement they even had a personal chef cook for her everyday with a trainer coming three times a week. Give me that and we will see results too. #pleasestopthehollaring……you over singing yourself!!!!!!!
Some of the comments here are surprisingly hateful. However, I too am getting sick of the commercial. She is practically screaming the high note, and I don’t really get how the song relates. SubmitToMe’s last comment about Heavy D was a little rude and disrespectful, but it is true that his condition was a result of his weight. On another JHud related note, what matters is that she lost the weight.
