Written and directed by COREY GRANT, the film opens in theaters February 3rd 2012 with a limited release in AMC theaters.
I swear they had a movie like this already when a friend die and everyone had to live in the house for some money. The poster for this trailer look like an old real world sitcom commercial. Personally I will be waiting for this to come out on dvd. I respect black people acting but it’s too many people in this movie for me too concentrate and for them to give the background on each character. When it’s too many superstars in the movie I don’t never go and see it because the acting seems to suck and they’re trying too hard. We as black people need to stop these same old storylines with the same actresses and actors….. We need to do biographies…..all of these hair salon movies, cookout movies,church choir movies need to stop. The only people I wanna see in this movie is Vanessa Simmons, Chris, Reagan, Persia. The rest of the people are usually type cast so I have seen them in movies where they act the same.
Agree. Why dod we always have to do the white girl issue in all of our shows, do they interject us in their movies other than a side kick, funny role, or non seuxal femal role? We need to stop catering to that all the time, its getting old and aggravating to be forced to watch it. The Game and Single Ladies are doing that enough already.

Also there are a lot of room in the industry. Come up with new ideas if you are tired seeing the same. Look for new actors that is trying to come up and put them in your new idea movies. Until that magical time comes, what choice do we have but continue to support. At least the story line isnt negative, killing, rapping, robbing, and drugs.

Dysfunctional Friends is a fu*king great ensemble film and TRUST the acting is good, really good I saw this movie at a film festival in Miami and the ENTIRE theater was full of laughter, make no mistake this film is geared towards an intelligent audience… GO SEE IT!

Honestly, blacks are at least trying. It is a process. Hopefully they ask the movie goers to do a survey so they can continually improve (just an idea).
I also think the problem is finance. Black movie producers may not be able to get the funding to make better looking movies (like Avatar, etc..) which is why they come off looking so cheap.
But it does come across as if there is a lack of creativity on the part of the writers – like they believe that if they don’t have the same stereotypical elements in it then no one will go see it at all.
There is no reason why more blacks can’t star in “Hollywood” style movies (like The Matrix – which was written by a black woman, or Salt, or Borne Identity, etc…) It’s like “our” writers and producers don’t have faith enough in the concept – so they are doing what’s “safe”.
ALL i CAN SAY is CHRISTIAN KEYES he super talented and about to do it in Hollyweird. The movie sucks anyway I will Watch it to support. We need to be more creative and do better with acting.

See the movie first then comment. I thought booty Call was going to be a stupid move just by the title. It turned out to be a funny and entertaining movie. The exchange between Vivica Fox and Jamie Fox at the resturant in the begining was funny. Snakes on a Plain was another one that turn out to be a good movie;I thought it would suck just by the title. I will see this movie because I have a major crush on Megan, and I want to see how Venessa Simmons does.
