You may remember Ciara’s first official single from Fantasy Ride, “Never Ever,” released back in 2009. Well, you may have known that Keri Hilson co-wrote the track, which was produced by Polow Da Don, but did you know that she recorded her own version?

More than likely a demo for the song, Keri sings the track a little differently than Ciara’s interpretation. This isn’t the first time that Keri penned tracks for Ciara, who is currently in the studio, working on a fifth studio album with L.A. Reid.
I am not aa fan of either really….I used to like Keri but she fell off…and to me Ciara cannot sing above a whisper so she really cant sing but I did listen to both and I hate to admit this but Ciara’s Whisper singing fits the song the best, but vocally I know Keri got that any day!……but this is an old song and I know it states that above so it really doesnt matter now…old news! next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keri DIDN’T cowrite this song as she’s not listed in the album credits anywhere on Fantasy Ride. Ester Dean cowrote the song and is heard on the backgrounds
you don’t have to be listed in the credits… alot of times writers sign-over there credits and the artist pays for there name to be in the credits without them even writing a word. i believe keri did write this and if her names not in the credits it worked to her advantage because the lyrics are mediocore at best. i wish KERI would revamp her self i use like her back in 0’6

In singing, Too many people mistake lack of control for power. Power does not alone define a person as a vocalist. Control, emotion, tone, technique, and the melody are the keys!!! Ciara has it all! Adequate Control complements power in any great work. Control allows singers to use different singing techniques. This is why Keri isn’t as versatile as Ciara. With Keri, it may a Different song but same technique…#SoSadButTRue
A great singer masters every component of song while reachers like Keri only uses 1 of 2 gimmick(the dying vowel or the survivial vowel as i call them) in almost every song.
