MAG COVER: WHITNEY HOUSTON POSTHUMOUSLY COVERS ROLLING STONE

February 29th, 2012

The late great Whitney Houston posthumously covers Rolling Stone magazine’s March issue with the article, “The Diva and her Darkside.”

Many magazines who rarely spoke of the star in her later years are scrambling to make some quick cash, but you know that’s the name of the game. You can check out an article snippet on RS’s official website, which features some quotes from producers who worked with the star in the past.

I will say this though, the photo they chose for the cover is beautiful. It was taken by photographer Michel Comte in 1992 for Vanity Fair magazine.

I miss her and still can’t believe she’s gone. I was a fan in the beginning and til the end, even now.

show business is a monster. I hope krissi stays far away from it. Whitney was an angel just like Alicia keys said to everyone who knew and met her.

I don’t care for the title of the article, why didn’t she cover it before her death…

I’d much rather read the dark side of the writer of this article. I’m sure their life story is just as dark and morbidly entertaining, if not better. Geez…..sn: that is a beautiful pic. Open the magazine to watch her fall from grace….smh.

This bullshit racist magazine hadn’t given her a cover since June 10th 1993, now 20 years later when she is deceased they run to make a story to gain profit from her death and capitalize on her downfall. She was an icon, and that is how she should be remebered.

Whitney will always be an icon. Regardless of her personal life, or her voice at the time of death, she will always be an Icon. She changed the game for Women in music. She is the most awarded female artist of all time. Once an Icon always an icon.

      No one can rewrite history.

      * She was the first woman to ever debut at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 – 1987 (Whitney)
      * She was the first woman to ever sell i million albums in a week (The Bodyguard)
      * According to the Guiness Book of World Records, she is the most awarded female artist of all time.
      * This week she makes history again by having 3 albums in Billboard’s Top Ten (The Greatest Hits, The Bodyguard, and Whitney Houston).

      Recognize.

Whitney Houston is another example of a used up celebrity who decided to speak against the industry once she was no longer the toast of the town. Michael Jackson did the same thing back in 2001 when he called the industry “racist” (which it is) and Tommy Mottola a “devil” (which he is). The problem is that he did not bring these issues to light until he had been cast aside, so his admission was not sincere. The fact of the matter is that the industry will try too rejuvenate the career of a sliding megastar 3 or 4 times. If they are unable to reboot their career, or that former megastar cannot get out of their own way, they will be sacrificed to the same entity that they made a blood oath to, that being $atan. This is why the magazine subtitle alluded to her “dark side”. Many of these magazines and tv shows slyly imply what these “artists” (witches) are into behind closed doors. At the end of the day, a has-been megastar is worth more dead than alive in magazine sales, repackaged albums and concert footage, and re-released movies.

Seriously? Why is the world do they need to talk about her “dark side”? Even in death they can’t focus on the positive and forget the negative. I love how they don’t talk about Elvis’s dark side, Curt Cobain’s dark side and every other white rock legend that has died. They all do drugs and yet they turn a blind eye to it. But with Whitney, Michael and James they always must remind us. I hate Rollingstone.

Everyone is guilty. Even the black celebrities speaking of the family’s loss. No one gave two cents about her when she was alive. I have heard countless of jokes about her from black comedians and everyone else.

Do they really have to talk about her dark side? This why I read Jet, Ebony, Sister 2 Sister and Essence magazines when black celebirties die. Because they know how to show respect and remember the people for their careers and not the negative.

The nerve of this magazine to portray her like this. They are so racist and just trying to make some quick cash of her death. They should be ashamed.

Who do they think is going to buy this?
    Certainly not the fans!!!!
As for the haters, why would they even bother wasting money on it? IT’s a loose-loose situation either way.
What is the article going to share with us that we don’t already know?!?!
Whitney Houston was hoest and real enough to share the deepest and most intimate parts of her life with us.
There is nothing more that anyone can say about her that we haven’t heard from her, already!
Therefore, Rolling Stone and all of these other hating publications need to let Whitney rest in peace for once, sice they freaking couldn’t leave her be when she was alive!
The REAL WHITNEY HOUSTON FANS WILL NOT BUY THAT or anything else that negatively portrays her.
Rest in Peace Whitney Houston. I Will Always Love You!!!!
