OMG, I cant believe they actually released it, I KNEW it was just a matter of time and I cannot lie CAKE was my song so this remix/full version just “put the icing” on it. SWAG, and the ending where Ri said “but you wanna put your name on it” and Chris had the last word OKAY!!! “sweeter than a rice cake” “if you sexy and you know it, put a candle on my back and mutherf”ckin back baby blow it” DEAD….Song is FIRE though

I just wonder what his GF Karrueche thinks about all this I mean this was bound to happen but DAMN they are SO bold!

Seriously, Is it that serious. Their artist, key word “artist”. They can express themselves the best way they see fit. Thats why artist cant be as free as they wanna be because of judgemetal people like you. They have to walk such a fine line to stay neutral. Im personally glad they decided to pick a side to walk on, even if it just one time, let them be who their gonna be…geesh!

I dont understand why she would do it…shes selling her soul for what? I think she thinks she had some kind of hand in what Chris did to her. But has Chris ever beaten any of his other girlfriends? Why does she have to be the one..and then turn around and want to make a song with him? No way. Beating a woman is a thrillion times worst than cheating on a woman. I am not going to listen to this song here or on the radio. This DUMB!

Anyone asking why she put him on the track should know that she asked her Twitter Followers who they’d like to hear on the RMX & A LOT of them said Breezy. Just b/c they have a bad past doesn’t mean they have to keep stuff going w/ childish grudges. They did this for their FANS not for anyone else & the FANS APPRECIATE IT! #WeWantThatCAKE!!! =D Get over it!!!!!!!!!!

Making a song together is no way to show that ME AND THE MAN THAT BEAT ME ARE FRIENDS NOW. THERE ARE OTHER WAYS FOR CHRIS TO SHOW THAT HE IS SORRY AND STILL LOVE HER AND THERE ARE OTHER WAYS FOR RHIANNA TO SHOW THAT SHE HAS FORGIVEN CHRIS NOT A FREAKING SEXY LOVIN LIKE SONG!!! WRONG!

It does not matter what the Fans want ALL THE TIME! They are people who need to think about the welfare of their personal life. They cannot put the wants of the fans above everything at all times. If Rihanna wants to remain relevant, she should make smarter decisions and stop having an IDGAF attitude. She needs to remember that the people who will cast her in movies, the people that give her endorsements, the people who buy her records, the people who play her records are all watching…. so if she doesn’t GAF, why should anyone be concerned. When it hits her, then her attitude will make a complete 180 degree turn.

& if you’re talking about her “getting back” with him being the “message” #SitAllTheWayDown she’s not a role model & doesnt want to be one. She’s said it many many times. Maybe ppl should focus more on raising their children their selves instead of letting the TV & Radio do it. smh.

granted rihanna isnt a role model, but why should that be an excuse for her choices. she nade a horrible decision to do business w/ chris brown. just because he’s talented n good looking doesn’t make what he did 3 yrs ago okay.. u think tina turner would still be making music w/ ike turner if he were alive…i highly doubt it. rihanna’s decision is only going to fuel his cockiness n arrogance.

@ Dee, i agree with u 100%.those parents who think that the actors, actresses, singers and such are to be role models for their children, they are sadly mistaken. they are just looking for a loophole to weasel out of raising their kids themselves. if there is anyone who needs to be a role model for kids, it should be the parents. no one else. the song is not for kids. anyone who thinks that needs to get their brains evaluated.

IMO: Role Models don’t exist. role models are an excuse to be followers. in my 27 years on this planet i have never had a role model. Now, i had people i admire, respected and looked up to but i never modeled my life after their’s. our morals and perspectives are different. whats good for them may never be good for me. now with Rih and CB, we only know what we are told regarding that terrible incident and that alone voids our judgement since we were not in that car. so if Rih can put the past in the past and make amends with a person she loves dearly who are we to judge?

For the record: the message i got from this is don’t let people negatively influence YOUR thoughts. what GOD has for you IS for YOU!

    • Rara

@Dee & @Goddess Many little girls ARE listening to this and it doesn’t matter if she wants to be a role model or not, a lot of little girls still look up to her. Obviously it’s not for little kids.

      I agree with @Dittybop.

@RickyRetardo I know what a damn role model is and nobody asked for your definition of what it is. It’s about this very innappropriate song and the negative message it sends.

People need to get over it. If you don’t like the song, or the fact that Rihanna has Chris Brown featured on it then don’t listen to this song. Obviously, she is not worried about remaining relevant or the backlash that she is going to receive because she released the song. Not to mention that she is featured on Chris Brown’s Turn Up The Music Remix. Clearly, she has forgiven him and that is her business. Also, she stated in an interview before that she is not trying to be a role model.

I think these two freaks regret that they went too far with their last fight and if it could all be erased… they’d be together. Didn’t his restraining order just end? They couldn’t wait to get back together! It’s like when you tell your bff that your man did you wrong, you love him so much you can’t let him go and you’re too embarrassed to to let your girl know that you’re back together… it happens all the time. Be it good or bad… lust is a powerful drug… mix in a warped sense of love and what you have is the chaos of Chris and Ri Ri. Que sera sera… it’s their life and I don’t give a damn! But I will say this…Chris is SEXY as hell!!! #judgemeifyouwantchriscangetit

Personally, I don’t mind them being on a song together. If she has the strength to forgive him and work on a track with him, then that is her decision and more power to her. They are both talented artist, I just wish the context of the song was better and they collaborated on an original song instead of each other’s remixes. Its obvious that they don’t care what the media thinks of their decision to collaborate or work together. I think that for Chris being on a song with Rihanna is also his way of getting back at the media, it is his way of saying, if the person that I abused forgives me and can work with me again, America can forgive me as well. As far as why Rihanna is doing it, it is another way for her to prove her so called rebel image, its her way of saying, f**k the media as well.

The more people throw stones at him the more popular he gets. Nobody likes to see a dog getting kicked repeatedly. I’m so over the conversation because it hasn’t progressed. All people can say is he whipped her ass but nobody is talking about preventing domestic violence. It is obvious that she doesn’t want to be the victim spokesperson. She has moved on and everybody else should. A man just shot himself, his ex girlfriend, and their baby 2 days ago. Nobody is even discussing it. Folks worried about what these two are doing.

Firstly @Dee, Could not agree more with you when you said “parents should be raising their kids not letting TV do it” 100% agree! EVERY artist no matter who they are (and I don’t care what ANYONE says) is gunna release a song or video or magazine shoot or something to which we all find to much for children because they are meant to be a role model…Unfortunately, these people are GROWN and are gunna wanna do grown people things, it then just falls down to the parent to do just that and parent!!
Secondly, as for this Remix, FYAAHHH I loved it!!! Now I know everyone is jumping on the “OMG I can’t beleieve they would be so stupid, she would let a man that tried to kill her collab with her” etc…It’s called life and it’s called his life and her life not OURS!! So if they have chosen to forgive (but just remember never forget) and decided to collab together then so be it….
No one person is perfect and how many people do we know that have had something bad happen to them by someone but to this present day still speak to or do things with that person whether it be go on a night out or go the movies or something….Only difference is these people are artists and are famous but are still in the same situation as every other HUMAN BEING out there…
All you people saying its disgusting need to step off…Yes she has female fans and young fans and yes it may not be sending out the message YOU want but these two people are living their lives and are never ever gunna please everyone, if they tried to do that they would wind up never doing anything cause nothing can please everyone.

I’m all for this Remix I love it and believe in people moving on! Go RiRi & Breezy xx

Also, for all those saying at the time of the beating she was throwing him under the bus etc she was gunna that had JUST happened, you act on your emotions at the here and there and there at that time the one she loved had just beat her she wasn’t gunna wanna praise him!! As an adult you grow, you forgive and you make your own DECISIONS and CHOICES! Years have passed now and like I previously said she has clearly forgiven (but no doubt has far from forgotten) and that is HER choice because it happened to HER and is HER life!!! At the same time the ones that are angry I do respect where you are coming from too but unfortunately, this is life…xx

And the Young shall lead…..Just not Rihanna & Chris Brown. When Billboard Magazine, a music publication pleads to the artist to take heed of what they are doing then you know we should be concerned. Their main objective is to report what is going on in the music industry, but they appear to be deeply concerned about how artists are affecting the music buying community and we should all be concerned about our young, because if they emulate what they deem is acceptable then they are doomed…

Song is dope, the situation is what bothers me. If Chris Brown is still with his girl then he has a lot of growing up to do mentally, emotionally, and as a man. This song would be extremely disrespectful if all rumors are true about him and Rihanna. Once again here goes Chris hurting another woman now Rihanna should think about it this time, because when she gets hurt again she can’t blame anyone but herself.

after whitneys death you would think people would start looking at celebs as humans that make mistakes. chris made a mistake its time to forgive and move on. that is the problem with society now once a black man commits a crime hes labeled forever.forgive people and grow

I so agree with you bottom line its their business what they do and who they see its their personal lives. I keep stating that over and over Chris and Rhianna are entertainers human beings. And if people are looking to these people for guidance they have a problem internally there must be deeper issues beneath their surfaces. I am my own women and role model I look to myself and GOD only. The only thing those two owe the public is good music and great concerts in my opinion.

People don’t get this twisted, this is only about MONEY, this song will only generate talk and keep these two revelent so that the big heads can get as much money off of them that they can before they both are washed up, that is all!

So everybody wants to talk s*it about the Rhianna/Chris Brown collabs, but at the end of the day it’s her choice who to decide to forgive damn what the media says, and Miranda Lambert with her sign, and the whole tweet campaign let Blake Shelton do something to her, and we’d probably not even hear about it, and she’d forgive him the next day. I’m not condoning what Chris Brown did but I wasn’t there either, yes I saw the pics and it was bad, but again I wasn’t there just like all the people writing articles and commenting on it. In the end it’s Rhianna, and Chris Brown’s business not mine not anyone else’s so that’s that. I bet They’ll sell an ass of records despite who gets mad about it, and they’ll probably hook up again if they aren’t already, and share some birthday cake, so turn up the music and shut the hell up.

    desperate rihanna

Evidently that rihanna reign is letting up FASTTT!! She is desperate and trying to stay relevant after Flop That Flop failed to perform as good as the salvationarmy predicted.
How can this fool milk the whole incident to sell Rated R and now she’s back with her abuser to help boost her sales.
PATHETIC AND DUMB MOVE FROM BOTH SIDES. Chris doesn’t need her, he should have backed out. Ridiculous, and the song is garbage and just full of vulgarity.
What a classless and shameless girl

    O_o duh

The question asked was “What do you think about the remix?
Not “why are they back together?”,”Why would she work with him?”,”What type of example is she setting for her fans?”, etc. LoL. I liked it though. Definitely about to hear this in the club this weekend.

    IT IS WHAT IT IS

Okay I see a lot of people are taking this personal and I don’t know why? Okay what happened with him and her was terrible but it was a few years ago 1st of all. And sometimes people change and sometimes they don’t. However if she is willing and he is willing to work together again or even see each other again its really none of our business. What is happening between them happen all day every day and women go back home to the abuser she so far is just making music (money) with Chris. Another thing is they are still fairly young and mistakes are made a lot in the early years of life. Now I don’t condone abuse and I would not be with someone that has beaten me but I am not Rhianna and neither is any of her fans. I am not looking to her as a role model I am my own person and role model. So her choices do not have any bearings on me. At the end of the day she is a grown ass women and will do and be with who she wants. Because Fans needs to understand these people are human and is here for entertainment purposes only. The only thing Rhianna and Chris only owes the public IS hot records and concerts they perform for us NOT LIVE THEIR LIVES FOR US. And this is just my HONEST OPINION!!! Both songs are HOT!!! I say do U CHRIS AND RHI RHI because you will never be able to please everybody. Birthday Cake remix is the S*** lol

Jesus Christ, stop making a big deal out of the situation. Till this day no one knows what really happened so we can calm down. This song is hot and at the end of the day if they want to make music together then let them. Chris has apologized enough and if Rihanna doesnt have a problem with it then why should we?

that 20/20 interview and Rated R. She threw him under the bus for her empire and stood on high horse on how she’s not blind and strong. And now she does not give a f*ck? this girl has a screw loose.

It was only a couple of months ago she said in cosmipolitan, they mentioned chris…. well she said ”you want to talk about chris brown, well I don’t!”

she wasn’t there for his struggle and now she wanna be there for his success. She’s an opporturnist leech.

I say leave them alone but who is her fan base? kids under 18 and it shows in her sales. People will talk but they dont buy right. It’s way to much for kids bottom line. Rihanna has a I want to be seen problem nothing more. It’s so funny cause you will never hear this live cause she does not have the talent to do it live and we know it… Poor choice…
