ON THE SET: BRANDY & MONICA BEGIN FILMING ‘IT ALL BELONGS TO ME’ VIDEO + SHARE THEIR FONDEST WHITNEY MEMORIES

Just one week after dropping their new collaborated single, “It All Belongs To Me” (LISTEN HERE) and losing their friend Whitney, Brandy & Monica began to film the official visuals for the Rico Love-produced track on Monday (February 13). Monica tweeted a message along with these two pictures. In one image (see below), she’s seen wearing a photo t-shirt of a young Whitney Houston: “First shot of ‘It All Belongs To Me’ video…I’m smiling because I know my angel is with me ❤ Luv U 4ever Nippy.”

The duo were scheduled to perform at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Reception but decided not to. However, they’ll be performing together for the the first time in 14 years later this week on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

E! Online also interviewed Monica and Brandy while they were filming scenes for their video. They each shared their fondest memory of Whitney Houston. Peep the clip and second pic after the jump.

Brandy loved Whitney so much, she was her everything. I’m so sad Whitney has passed and that it was on Brandy’s birthday.

I feel you Brandy, I’m hurting too, and just remember she’s your Angel now and everyone else who loved her, ignore the negativity the media trying to spin and tarnish her as a icon. I don’t blame you for not sharing what Whitney told you, Monica, I love your respect and response with grace and class. This is why I love these 2 divas and respect them, they are sweethearts inside and out. At the end of the day God will put them through in all of this. Can’t wait for these divas drop there albums.

  3. Jazz!

Super sad! On the flip side she & Monica look beautiful!!! Love me some Monica she’s soo purrty!! ThIs is the best I’ve seen mo look since her last album. Loving the new song they both have grown soo much vocally!

  4. kevee

I kinda resent when people in the industry mix their careers and God. Unless your willing to devote it all to Him, don’t mention Him. It hypocritical. They need to stop preaching their form of what they think God is, or what religion is, and just focus on their music. They ain’t preachers, they are artists.

    • Dozeki's

the fact of the matter is they are acrediting the’re success financially and otherwise to god, so what are you talking about. You don’t thank god for the things that go well in your life ?
i think you dont seem to realise these are people, and not singing machines, they hve values and opinions of their own, and that doesn’t cease because someone pays to hear them sing, or it shouldnt

    • 4Real'N2011

You are a complete idiot! Why in the hell can’t “people in the industry” mix their careers with Christ. I am saved to the utmost, but I’m an engineer. When I’m working, I’m working not devoting my energy to God. I get paid a good amount of $$$ to do what I do. If it is not feasible to mix God and your career, then only the unemployed or career less people make it in? Hopefully, you see how utterly ridiculous your statement is! Please raise your consciousness or at least keep your insaneness to yourself and indeed become a monk!

God is so awesome and amazing that he uses all people. He see the heart of man . So you see he has started a good work in these woman and it may not be evident to you because we can not see with the eyes of God. But I tell you this Whitney Huston singing yes Jesus loves me is one of the reasons I am a Christian today . God can use anyone to bring you closer to him . I mean look at who Jesus brought the gospel to those the religious leaders thought was unworthy.

    • FLYGUY

You sound sooooo foolish. anyone ANYONE ANYONE!!! can acknowledge their love and thanks to Christ. shut the “hell” up. Literally

I am a 28 year old male who is married to a woman that is 50 years old. We met on cougarkissing.c0m Since I was 21, I fell in love with her shortly after meeting her and I love her more now than before. This is the most complete and loving relationship I have ever had. And to a person that posted before, I didn’t have any trouble getting girls my own age. And I do emphasize “girls”. Most women my age are not ready for a mature relationship even if they say they are. All they want to do is play house but when real life finally knocks on the door they don’t want anything to do with it. Age doesn’t have as much to do with the relationship as one would think. My wife and I both love and respect each other regardless of our ages and neither of us have ever been so happy

  7. SmooChes

Love these two beautiful young ladies, very classy and respectful! That was a tough interview, made me cry! Whitney would be proud of them both.

  8. Musikmonk

And i rewatched the interview, and brandy seems so annoyed with this guy because he doesn’t understand how devastated she is. It so hard for her to hide her emotions.. My heart goes out to her. I can’t imagine how it feels to try to promote a single and mourn the death of a friend and mentor.

I have a feeling though that after this experience, we’re going to get a very emotive track or two with her smokey vocals on a melancholic tune.

  9. Rara

I love these two, they are so classy and respectful. Great interview almost made me cry. We love you Whitney and my heart and prayers go out to her family. RIP Whitney.

  10. Dre

First off.. Brandy’s make up is everything.. whoever did her make up needs to be her permanent make up artist.. they contoured that nose and gave her the bridge she never had. Now.. I think it is so ironic how they did an interview with Clive and Whitney three days ago and now she is dead and they are filming the video. I hope there is some tribute to her in the video.. I love Monica, but the long hair ages her. Honey you’re looking early 40′s with that hair.. your short cut is everything on you. I know you need a change sometimes though. This is the BEST Brandy has looked in ages.

  11. CERV

Monica was a bit tacky. she made the whole interview about “herself” and her voice lol. very tacky.

Brandy seemed very sincere. She loved that woman. and vise versa.

    • Shay

how did she make the interview about herself? the interviewer asked her a question and she answered it, people always tryna be negative ….. BYE!!!

    • latisha

I agree Monica goes on and on about herself and her “stories” it took away from the subject at hand. She annoys me at times with trying so hard to make herself look more than she is. like she’s saying “hey look at me I can SANG. We know.. please.

They both look beautiful however, Brandy is just stunning. I can tell she is truly hurting… So sad R I P whit.

    • Surprise

I agree with Shay. However, Maybe Monica was trying to shy away from the Whitney questions because it was emotional enough as it is. You know everyone grieves in their own way.

  12. caramelapple

Poor Brandy, she was really trying to keep her composure before loosing it on camera. She probably went there all day these last few days and it can get exhausting feeling that grief to began to overwhelm her again by talking about it and she did not want it to get to that point of no return. Both ladies are troopers. Glad they are rallying around Bobby Christina and taking the positive influence Whitney has had on them and the great memories. Boy, this weekend will be so sad.

  13. Traecaliber

Monica and Brandy look amazing in that first picture…these ladies are truly beautiful.

  14. THECONCRETELOOPIST

Their hair is so pretty but I hope that head necklace thingy is not the new trend. I saw Ashanti rocking something similar. Me don’t likey.

  15. MRB

Damn this really hurt my heart! Brandy and Monica have ALWAYS been under Whitney’s wing! They always looked up to Whitney and I know they are really hurting inside! It makes me smile to see this 2 continue to make her proud! RIP WHITNEY HOUSTON! WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

  16. mimi

R.I.P Whitney, always will be a legend!!

  17. DiamondLatrelle

Great Interview. Hopefully the video turns out great. The song was just OK to me, but their voices were great.

  18. Twhist

Brandy piled the make up on didn’t she?! Less is better, but I guess when your not naturally pretty you need all the help you can get. Glad Monica kept it real and personal…thats what u do, talk about YOUR fondness and memories. Monica you’re stunning with or without makeup.

    • kiddontplay

Brandy Looks great to with or with out makeup!>>wHy are you a hater! DaMN!!!!!!Just give the woman her props…she’s young and she is a legend!!!!!!Most child stars don’t get where she is!!!!

    • Kevee

Brandy is beautiful as well with or without make-up. Unfortunatly there is no make-up to beautify the ugly person u are on the inside. Hater…. smh

  19. seil

    Monica is a r&b superstar…Love her

  20. Surprise

Brandy looks CUUUTTTEE. The best I’ve seen her in a long time. I loved both young ladies interviews.

  21. HellRazer

The only entity that the black woman has worshipped in the pass 400 years is the so called white man. These two whores (brandy and Monica )are obviously lesbians

  22. Tre Willz

Poor Bran! Poor Mon! I know they really really really Loved Whitney! And the crazy thing is Whitney Loved them both More!

  24. Smonty1227

I think that was so sincere. There wasn’t an aim from either of them to get a sound bit or to say look at me about Whitney from humble from them both. And they both looked beautiful.

  25. QueenSafira

I really wish they weren’t releasing this song. They could have done so much better. Just so much better! They should have gone back to Darkchild.
