Comedian Paul Mooney is known for his brash and unapologetic sense of comedy. Not to mention, the 70 year-old is a comedic legend in the field and has been doing this for years. In his most recent comedy special, “Paul Mooney: The Godfather of Comedy” airing now on Showtime and Showtime on Demand, he speaks on the Chris Brown and Rihanna 2009 incident.

I have west Indian roommates and we talked about the situation and they said west Indian woman do not play they will use all force especially when they are mad or angry. Chris Brown was suppose to be driving some kind of car with a stick shift. From what the news reported is that he left her there in the street. It just seems like maybe they both had a problem with their hands. I feel like if they weren’t honest they should have been and both gotten thorough help for whatever emotional problems they had. I don’t know, maybe it would have been easier if they were not in the public eye.

I’m shocked by the responses in the comment section but I don’t know why considering African Americans have the highest domestic violence rate in America. We don’t know if Rihanna hit Chris, but assuming she did, yes that would give Chris the right to defend himself but definitely not attack her to the extent we saw in those photo’s. Many abused women have stockholm syndrom and feel the need to defend their attacker. So Rihanna giving Chris a pass doesn’t mean others have to.
