TV BIT: CEE-LO, NICKI MINAJ, M.I.A. & LMFAO JOIN MADONNA at SUPERBOWL HALF-TIME SHOW + PHOTOS

February 6th, 2012

Before the NY Giants brought in the win for this year’s Superbowl, Madonna headlined the half-time show and performed some of her popular hit songs. During her acrobatic performance of “Music,” the electro pop duo LMFAO joined in and performed a mashup of “Music,” with their singles “Party Rock Anthem” and “Sexy And I Know It.”

Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. also performed with the singer in “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” during which a rebelious M.I.A. flipped the bird on live TV. Ceel-lo also made his over the top debut as well, marching out as a drum major during a performance of “Open Your Heart.” The two singers, alongside a choir of singers ended the show with “Like A Prayer”.

If you missed the 12-minute Superbowl Halftime performance, you can watch it down below.

Madonna can really dance but Nicki Minaj looked like a little flunky performing next to her.

Madonna killed the halftime show. For her definitely being up there in age she certainly put on an outstanding performance. Glad to see her comeback and expand herself with other celebrity acts.

SIT DOWN WITH THAT MUMBO JUMBO. You peole kill me with all these Illuminati Associations. If anything you all are the ones that are advertising it all over the web and blogs. When you look at a performer’s artistic expressions and all you see is Satanic references then you have a problem. Its the same senario with the Roshak Ink Blot test…look it up!

You know I often wonder at times whether or not many of these people who present these kinds of information to the public work for the government. Of course most of what he (and many others) are saying is obvious, but how could some be so bold so as to come out with these videos? That’s a conspiracy in itself…These can’t be ordinary people like yourself and I.

It was decent. I am just reminded of how she made reference to Janet and how M.I.A.’s gesture overshadowed her performance.(Karma maybe…) Also, I would have liked it more if the lip-synching was at a minimum. It was a cool show though. Cee-lo is the man!

Madonna could have stayed home. The visuals were much better than the actual performance. I didn’t care for the lip syncing nor that new song of hers. I really expected her to come harder with her new single, especially since she’s been away so long, but it sounds like something for todlers to listen to.

I felt MAdonna’s nervousness showed throughout, which was surprising as much trash as she talked leading up to the event about Janet. Her hands trembled at some of the close-ups and she was stiff (which is usually not like her when she dances), and baby nearly fell back off them bleachers during “Music.” Just seemed like it started off hot and then the energy died following “Vogue.” Costumes were cute (Givenchy I read), and did anyone else notice the dancers were dancing in Christian Louboutin hightops? Must be nice.

I have to say it was great if she was a regular artist, but being the Queen of Pop, it was good at the beginning then it slowed down and her supporting cast of other artist overshadowed her.

I agree it started off nice then died real quick. It was nice hearing the old songs. I was worried for her when she started stumbling and almost fell a few times. I guess overall I was really expecting her to show out with a live vocal performance. Idk why but the lip syncing kinda killed it for me. I give it a C+

I must say I am so sick of artist thinking to be different and go againest the grained they have to do something so immature as to flip the bird when millions of families watching. With not being a US citizen it makes even more upsetting. Its like most of america is watching go bubble gum pop and in order to drum up some type of respect and street cred you flip off america…wow Really?
How and why nikki minaj is interesting to people beats me she has talent but she keeps watering it down to be over the top pop and still want her street cred. Its like annoying because the song MIA and Nicki had with Madonna felt so forced, pointless and cheese corny.

Madonna did a good job nervous (uhm who the hell wouldnt be?? you realize how many people are watching and what an adrenaline rush is?) For the people talking about her I would love to see what they look like at 53 and what they can do. So kudos to her.

    Loved Cee Lo,

    Overall good game!!

What’s so “different” about a vauderville act? We seen this sh– since the beginning of entertainment. This was nothing more then a modern circus act. Cee-Lo was the elephant, M.I.A. was the psycho, Nicki was the clown and Madge was the middleaged ring leader. Now I think about it was honestly a freak show…

I’m sorry that performance was awful…The best part was watching the gay dudes vogue and Cee-lo made the show what it was. He should have been picked for the half time show. The lip synching was horrid and MAdonna could hardly move. She also picked the world to help out her show. Madonna is a living legend. She has nothing to prove so she should bow out gracefully and let the other talent take charge. Also she should never talk about other performers the way she did.

    sorry, that was tacky
Madonna definitely moves like a grandma and needs to understand she has to move on, we also tired about the same musics!!! You people should also stop with your Illuminati thing, you are just part of promoting your in-confidence with the devil promoting it so badly. We don’t need Baphomet to admit people like Madonna made their money and miserable life on sex and inspiring so many people to be gay. JUST PRAY HARD AND COMMIT YOURSELF DAILY IN WHAT YOU DO WITH CONSCIENCE, spirit, heart and soul-
Nicky did better and M.I.A. and her few seconds beats even took over all by far, was disappointed of seeing M.I.A. part of the costume/choreography thing though.
The lights and prod. were on point, you just wonder until where they will go, what will be their limit!!?, was real cool.
America, come and refresh yourself in places like West Africa, real music, vibe and all! The music and dance industries are just delivering!!! PEACE!!!

I loved the effects and visuals. They were so cool and unique, but Madonna did just okay. For her AGE, she did great, but overall, I was mad that the b–ch lip-synced! How the hell can you put Lady Gaga on blast when she sings live! I can’t stand Lady Gaga, but at least she sings live! And then she had a nerve to come at Janet? I don’t care for Janet either and I think she’s washed up, but c’mon, Janet dances a million times better than Madonna.

Again…. ytf did she lip-sync the whole show? It was so obvious. She couldn’t even have pre-recorded vocals?

I thought the performance was brilliant, the Visuals really added to it – defo RITUALISTIC, but we all know that…What got me was when MIA swore and threw her middle finger up, I suppose when you are the least known and talented you have to do something to get attention… Well done MIA “That Gimmick Failed” as for Madonna I agree she is very agile for a 53 year old woman, but I wasnt feeling all the squats and leg opening. Nikki Minaj looked good BUT those lyrics Nikki?? They make NO SENSE! But people are obviously more interested in how she looks. WAKE UP!!
