VIDEO: JOHN LEGEND’S FIANCÉE CHRISSY GIVES HER TWO CENTS ON RIHANNA & CHRIS BROWN DUETS

February 23rd, 2012

John Legend and his fiancée Christine Teigen stopped by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and played a little bit of ‘Plead the Fifth.’ During this game, celebrities are asked questions and they either decide to answer honestly or plead the fifth with no comment.

During Wednesday night’s show, a fan called in from St. Louis and asked John about his thoughts on Rihanna & Chris Brown’s musical reunion on “Birthday Cake” and “Turn Up The Music”. Before John could open his mouth to plead the fifth, Chrissy raised her hand and responded without hesitation:

“John will plead the 5th. I absolutely think it’s terrible. I’m sorry, but that’s just me speaking. John cannot because he’s in the music realm, but I am not, so I am more than happy to say that I think it’s terrible.”

Well alrighty then. Peep the clip below.

In related news, an insider of the Roc Nation camp allegedly revealed to RadarOnline that Jay-Z is very disappointed in Rihanna’s decision to collaborate with Chris Brown.

suddenly, i like chrissy. i will say this though. i understand that music is how john makes his living and that he has to be cautious about his career. however, i wish he had taken this opportunity to place morale before self-interest. the problem is that we need strong male figures speaking out against this. not just women. otherwise, it just looks like a “woman” thing.

Despite Chrissy wierd looks I can say she’s definitely honest which I like, and Im sure John feels the same way. He should’ve been real and expressed that, if people mad about it oh well that’s there problem “Freedom of Speech”

She sounds immature; She cant form an opinion and complete sentence without making all those teenager jerky sounds and movement. Secondly, she did end up speaking or subtly implying John Legend’s opinion on the matter. Lastly, I agree wit her.

co-sign. lol! she was clearly apprehensive about stating her opinion, but at the end of the day, she stated it (even though she did come across as child-like in speech)

Who cares? Let CB & Rihanna collaborate together. That’s there biz. Why is everybody getting involved? It’s Rih’s life that’s all i got to say. She is not a role model she is an entertainer.

People are speaking out against the collaboration because of the history of domestic abuse with these two people. With that said, when random people speak publicly about another person’s relationship they 1)get to make themselves look good or let off steam by airing a politically correct statement against domestic violence; they ALSO 2)alienate the person they are trying to “help”.

I find it interesting that many people react to domestic violence by trying to control and pressure the victim. Don’t get me wrong-this is all well meaning intervention-but does this type of help really reach the people you are trying to help? How many females (or males) ignore the random person’s (obnoxious) opinion and go back to dealing with the person that hit them? Let’s at least admit that this matter is complicated and private and should be treated as such.

WOW so who the hell is she. Why do she even care who sings together. I am not for them getting back together, but making money isn’t a crime in my book as long as that’s where it ends.

This really wasn’t a good move for Rihanna, money or not she clearly has a low self-esteem.

That ugly bobble head sounded ridiculous, with his background I am surprised he’s marrying a dumb non-black model, he has that neo-soul feel which I thought was a empowering black type music not self-hating, what a waste of a black man.

Why is everybody talking shit about chrissy? all she’s doing is giving her opinion like all of us,and she’s right why would rihanna do anything with him when he beated the dog shit out of her,i mean damn why is it so hard for people not to a agree with what he did to rihanna,i believe in second chances, but the way chris is handling the situation lacks maturity and responsibility,so yea chrissy is on point

While I don’t condone what Chris B. did to Rihanna, last I checked this is a free society where you can make music together or get back together after domestic violence matters ( hoping the aggressor learned something.). Bottomline: it’s their choice not ours. As far as Chrissy goes, she’s young and ignorant, she’ll learn soon enough in life that relationships are tough and struggles are real. I too am surprised that John L is marrying such a vacant minded inexperienced woman who has no substance. But as it is Chris & Rihanna’s choice to be together, so it is his. But I can see she’s is another Pinar Sanders type character wife. Good luck John.

People need to get over the Chris/Rihanna altercation already!!! Who was in the car with them? I know I wasn’t and neither was anyone else. People can move beyond their mistakes – so let them. God is the ultimate judge! If He, in His power and majesty, can forgive us, why is it so hard for us to forgive others – especially when we don’t have a freakin’ thing to do with it???? People makes mistakes and apparently both parties made mistakes on that night in the car. Get off their tip! I can’t believe John is marrying that woman. I always thought of him to be a “home grown” sort of guy seeing the family that he comes from. They honestly remind me of my family (his mom looks just like mine). I just wouldn’t have ever imagined that he would get with someone like that. She doesn’t seem to have any class to me – and that’s one classy fella! :) Seems like the industry may have changed him. :(

People need to learn how to say good bye to yesterday
and learn how to show love instead of Hate, Let her
talk all she want to because like other’s all she’s
running is her mouth. If Rihanna and chris do not learn
from their mistake then shame on them.

I hope someone reads this and tell that annoying trick, to please stop claiming to be a Christian, and let others forgive and forget their mistakes.

What kind of Christians are walking around today that can’t forgive?

Did she “never” make mistakes in her life? Those without sin can throw the first stone. It’s really annoying.

Chris is a human being, he made a mistake, and he paid for them. Can the Savior Chrissy and Oprah and Gail King forgive Chris? Or, they are only the type of dimwits that feel people should always be punished for their mistakes forever till the day of judgment?

Christians scare the hell out me. I have never seen a bunch of hypocrites who claim, love, forgiveness; but can’t forgive. Shaking my head!

It amases me how people are so judgemental. We don’t know what actually happen between the two. Whatever happened they’ve forgiven each other and moved on. You shouldn’t throw stones if you living in a glass house. You only know what was portraited in the media whose job is sensationalize. What’s so terrible about they making good music together. Absolutely nothing!!!!!!!
