Actress Monique Coleman poses with Gina Reiss-Wilchins, Director of Girl Up, at the first-ever Girl Up Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, March 10.
The event brought together women leaders and hundreds of teens from across the country (in addition to those from the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa via live stream) equipping girls in the United States with the necessary leadership skills to support girls around the world. I love monique Coleman & I;m glad she doin something That helping the girls out & putting out A good Message (:
Nice work Monique ♥
LOL!!! She is so funny to me with her Solange-looking ass. Just funny! Bahahahaaaaaa!
At least she’s doing something positive. Your responses are often ignorant. What’s wrong with Solange’s ass? Can’t wait to see your reply.
I thnk the wig leaves a bit to desired but I can honestly assume you are waiting until Friday to take you and your 50 kid grocery shopping on your food stamps.
Chile, I wish somebody would give me some food stamps. Do you know anybody with some? I’ll give half on the dollar.
that wig…
I commend her for her work but I thought the same thing about the wig. I just feel like you need to leave the house looking presentable. She is pretty and once again I commend her work but that wig, I can’t.
Exactly what I thought, not a good look on her.
Curious who created Girlup…. why not a black person?? we have to do better
L-I-B-E-R-I-A!!! That’s my country!!! And one where Nobel Peace Laurettes President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf & Leymar Gbowee hail from.
Girl Up is a wonderful organization. Chris, I am not sure who the founder is; however I do know of an organization that does similar work and was created to empower girls and women that was created by an african-american female.

The truth is that these organizations do exist but do not seem to get the coverage that is needed to create awareness. Maybe Concreteloop and other informative sites will take notice.
I love her so much. She’s always doing something positive in the world. She’s the kind of role model young girls (especially young Black girls) need to look up to nowadays, not video models & pornstars. It’s always a good thing to see a celebrity use his/her fame for a good cause. It lets the world know that they’re humans just like us & they haven’t let fame go to their head.
As for her hair, WHO CARES? Wig or not, that’s not even the main topic of this article. The focus is on empowering young girls & how she’s doing something about it instead of just talking about it. Who knows? All of it might be her REAL hair.
I’ve said that least 4213100 times. SKC was here…
