Veteran supermodel Tyson Beckford recently sat down with UK magazine, ‘Evening Standard’ for an exclusive one-on-one interview. The 41-year-old reminisced on his acting debut in Toni Braxton’s “Unbreak My Heart” music video, the reality of the fashion industry/ business and how helped to mold his girlfriend into a successful model. ON ACTING IN TONI BRAXTON’S VIDEO, ‘UNBREAK MY HEART’:
‘I’d always wanted to act, and that gave me a chance to show the world I wasn’t just a pretty model but that I could portray a character without speaking. I love silent film, Charlie Chaplin and The Artist. Inside, I was always acting. An actor playing the role of a male supermodel.’ And his cameo in Zoolander? ‘I was playing myself, which is one of the hardest things you can do.’ON THE REALITY OF THE FASHION INDUSTRY:
“It’s all BS. You have to recognise the fashion industry can be ugly, mean and shallow. One day you’re invisible, the next you’re fabulous.”ON MOLDING MAKING HIS MODEL GIRLFRIEND, SHANINA:
“When I found her she was a regular girl. I helped place her with the right people, get her teeth cleaned, her body toned up. Everything changed and now everyone wants a piece of her. I hear people say, “You can do better than Tyson.” I’m like, “Really? Really?! I created her!”?” [Source]

Unfortunately my son and I met this incredibly rude self possessed person at a MTV video shoot
He was on stage counting his money and smirking at the crowd acting really high and mighty. I
Had been a fan of his previously lol I even bought the calendar! Lol. There were other stars there on set and they were very kind,my child won a video contest so he was filming. I asked Tyson if he would take a pic or sign an autograph with my son after filming the MTV spot and he Yelled at me
Telling me no. Now I’m an old black woman and that guy was just truly disrepectful the Loud Yelling was just uncalled for. No problem he did not owe me or my child a pic or autograph but man was he just flat out Mean. When filming was over the staff and stars including tyson went into a meet and greet bldg . Well there he stood Tyson all self absorbed like Here I am World lmao! Other stars gave my young black son pics and he was so greatfull I told my son under no circumstances

Had the same experience with the very rude Tyson Beckford. Met him in Miami with my cousin. We politely asked if we could take a quick photo with him. We had flown from London, so were really pleased to see him. We said “Hello Tyson, so sorry to bother you, we’ve flown all away from London, it would be much appreciated if we could have a quick photo with you! (exact words!!) “He then turned around and said “Well i’ve flown all the way from New York, so NO you can’t!”
It was very embarrassing as it took alot for us to go over there and speak to him. He had a mini audience around him, so he probably felt like he was being clever.
Years later, my cousins husband met him at an event in London. He remembered the story we had told him about Tysons rudeness (which was about 7 years ago). They both knew the jeweller who organised the party. Tyson shook his hand and said its nice to meet you, to which my cousins husband replied “I wish my wife could have said the same thing about you when she first met you”
Tyson was like “Huh!”
My cousins husband said “You should really be more mindful of how you address people when you first meet them. First impressions have a long lasting effect!”
The lesson is, be mindful of how you address people, you never know when you might meet up on them again.
Because I did not know what offensive words would possibly come out of Tyson’s mouth anyway

Never in a million years would I ever! I still remember what Supahead (Karrine Steffans) said about catching him and Big Tigga in the bed together, talking about Tigga’s anus was all busted out – she called Tigga out on a live radio broadcast (Foxhole maybe?) a few years back when she was still semi-relevant and trying to stay that way. And when Tigga came on the show to tell his side, he said a lot of stuff, but NEVER denied what Karrine said, just basically said, “I can’t believe after all I’ve done for you that you would do this to me.”

I too have met Tyson, he is not very nice. Very conceited and selfish. Looks down on others and has no humility at all. This is all evident with his comments about his girlfriend.

Sounds suspect to me. I don’t care what his sexual orientation is, that ish sounds catty to me. Sometimes some men who were raised by women only come off that way because they had no positive males around them. A real man doesn’t disrespect his female.
