Love, love, love her. There are a few atists out there bringing music BACK to where it used to and needs to be. Met her a few times…She is the epitomy of talent and is very very down to earth. Justin Beiber who??? lol
just in time for the summer…..a breath of fresh air…
Cinnamon Tree – love the electric guitar
Crowned & Kissed – horn section killllllls
Black Gold – beautiful vocals
I can’t help it – she performed this at the Roots Picnic last year…she does it justice! the instrumentals are so on point.
hold on me and vague suspicions are mellow and soft.
I definitely think she’ll reach a broader audience w/this album….whether she intended to or not.
p.s. her ginormous fulani’s are great!
If you like Esperanza Spaldings, you might like my blog, Rhymes and Reasons. It’s interviews with hip-hop heads who discuss their lives and the songs that matter to them. Some great stuff.
I have been waiting to purchase this album. This girl is dope. No problem forking over cash for quality music.
I so agree..I don’t mind for paying for REAL music. She is extremely talented AND she plays instruments…Esperanza gets my vote!! Beyonce, Rihanna, and Nikki will never see a dime of my money.
Love every song. Will be purchasing when it comes out.
Dope. Real Music.
She is an elegant & majestic artist. Already pre-ordered mine!
I like her artistry, but she should not have won the Grammy for best new artist. She didn’t put in the work for that award. I just think that wasn’t fair to the artists in that category that actually deserved that honor. I acknowledge that she is a good artist, but that award was not for her. But oh well..
She has beautiful hair.
love her music
