TV BIT: SNEAK PEEK TO OPRAH’S INTERVIEW W/ HOUSTON FAMILY

March 6th, 2012

As we mentioned last week, media mogul Oprah Winfrey will be interviewing Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law, Patricia Houston, the late singer’s brother Gary Houston and her 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina on the next episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter.

The family will share their personal memories of Whitney, address the rumors surrounding Houston’s passing as well as how her daughter would like Whitney to be remembered. Check out the preview clip of the OWN series which will air on Sunday, March 11 at 9/8pm CST.

Oprah will handle this interview with the poignancy and delicacy it deserves.

The Houston family made the right choice.

Before everyone goes on a Oprah bashing you gotta understand, maybe Bobbi wanted this to close the bashing about her mother when she died- aka Evil Witch NANCY GRACE, who keeps belittle and bashing Whitney’s legacy and her family just to get ratings on her stupid HLN show for her white fans every night and going on The View in which Whoppi had to cuss her out, also claiming Whitney was murdered and all other ish to put that family down. Also putting down her own rumors that the white media keeps saying she’s doing drugs and other foolishness. I don’t think Oprah went to the family to get ratings on her show, they went to her, think about it, why Oprah went to Whitney funeral to get ratings?? It’s better to clear the air and stop the bashing than still wondering and believing the foolishness that is out there. Before Whitney died, she did an interview with Oprah because Diane Sawyer made look trashy years ago and she admitted that she was embarrassed about it and made the record straight, after that, did Oprah trash Whitney on that interview in 2010 after?? No!!! As someone said, Bobbi would’ve said no and not bother at all, and honestly I’m glad she went to Oprah because the white media loves to twist shit around and make that little girl look bad and bash her too!!! I think after this interview, they shouldn’t talk anymore period and guide Bobbi to the right path in life.

Why do you even waste your time watching, that “DEMON, Nancy Grace? She and the Diane Sawyers, and The “WHITE MEDIA” are doing what comes natural…they are, indeed, “DEMONS” personified. Sure, Whitney made some poor choices but we are all flawed human beings…evil is a consonant companion as the scriptures described if we want to get biblical. Every waking hour we are, all, in a never ending battle to vanquish our mundane/evil tendacies. The “WHITE MEDIA” will always, verbally, crush blacks and this should come as no surprise…just try to avoid all “THEIR” negative energy.

      Shalom

I agree with you!! I don’t watch Nancy Grace because she pisses me off in which someone needs to punch her in the face, why I said that is because she uses foolish rumors to gain her stupid show by going on The View and talking ish, after Whitney died I watched for updates for a couple of days just to know if any news came out then they started bashing Whitney, I changed the tv since then.

If you go on youtube Fantaisa made a good point about the media. Talking about Whitney when she passed, because the media don’t know whole damn story. All they do is have the public guess and speculate everything and the tabloids are even worse. Nancy Grace even accused one of the mothers of a missing child about her own child. That the woman ended up comitting suicied. And when did Whoopi Goldberg cuss out Nancy Grace on the View? I will be watching this program on Sunday.

@EmmaV’s Great-Grandaughter: I read the Whoopi thing online about a week and half ago on a website, I originally found out on twitter. Ya, I watched the Fantasia video about her talking about Whitney’s death and she dissed Nancy Grace. Nancy Grace is a evil bitch that should be stoned, if karma comes back to her, that’s her problem. Evil woman I tell you!!

After this interview it would be nice if the world would just let a family mourn their loved one.

I hope they don’t go on a Bobby Brown bashing. Bobby is still Bobbi’s father, and it should be a place for healing within the family. I mean, it is the Christian thing to do, right?

And I want to see how much of a Christian Gary really is. All the people in the “real” know, knows that Whitney was doing drugs wayyyy before meeting and marrying Bobby Brown. And it’s Whitney that put Bobby on the heavier stuff i.e(cocaine, crack), not the other way around. But all and all, they were both young, and wrong for their drug use.

I’m so sorry, Whitney wasn’t as innocent as people want to make her out to be. That “Newark Girl” went hard!

If you Google, ‘Gary Houston caught with cocaine’ you would see what I mean, when people are blaming Bobby for her drug use, they forgot her own brother Gary, and cousin Dionne, and that fat head man Claude or whatever his name is. And Oprah asked Gary, “What did he think of Bobby?” I want to see if he would sit there and lie and act high and mighty. That kneegrew used to go and buy and pick up drugs for Whitney and Bobby! So, he better not say a dang on thing about Bobby was this or that.

I agree too Gary got something to hide infact they blaming Gary for the photo of her I the coffin….. He’ll where is her brothers Michael and John or sister Alana? Gary is the only one you see…. Bobby was on drugs but he is clean so stop blaming him…. They blamed Bobby so much that Whitney did not have to be responsible for her own drug habit and after she died from doing drugs they are still blaming bobby and he went on with his life…. Whitney was a grown woman…. Not a child so why are they blaming bobby who has been divorce from Whitney for 6 years for her drug addiction…. What about the yes men she had around her… You only attract who you are…. I’m sorry…. Drug dealers and negative users weren’t around her for nothing…. I love Whitney, she was beautiful, her voice was beautiful but we have to make Whitney accountable for her actions…. And her family who blamed everyone but her about her problems.

Why is Oprah even bringing up Bobby Brown to her family? Is she trying to make a case for those who believe that Bobby took her down, led her to drugs. For those who refuse to believe it…my mom was raised in Newark with the Houston and Warwick clan. Whitney and Bobby were cut from the SAME cloth…THAT’s why she fell for him cause she was a hood chick from jump…Clive Davis ‘polished’ her image…so that by the time she met Bobby and fell for him…people could not believe their pop princess would do such a thing. But they never knew the REAL Whitney. Why the hell did Oprah ask that question unless she’s trying to stir that Ooooold as pot of ‘Bobby brought Whitney down’!? sheesh

Something smells fishy about this interview. People shouldn’t just breathe a sigh of relief just because it’s Oprah doing the interview. Eventhough, I can’t stand the hell out of Nancy Grace but still all skinfolk ain’t kinfolk.

LOL I feel you. I think it’s a little too soon, but if this is what the family wanted to do then I can’t say. But Oprah knows the network is not the ratings bonanza she hoped for, so something like this definitely is coming at the right time.
