VIDEO: BIGGIE’S DAUGHTER T’YANNA WALLACE TALKS FATHER, AMBITIONS & COLLEGE IN 1st RADIO INTERVIEW

March 7th, 2012

Hot 97′s ‘The Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg Show with K. Foxx’ sat down with T’Yanna Wallace, the daughter of the late Bad Boy rapper, Christopher “Notorius B.I.G.” Wallace. The 18-year old Penn State student shared that she’s studying business and wants to start her own fashion line one day. She also shared her favorite Biggie song and admitted that although her father’s music has put her in a nice financial situation, she sees no reason why she shouldn’t have a job:

I work at the school cafeteria. I don’t need a job. But I honestly, I’m independent like her [Mom] and I feel like if I want extra pocket money, I shouldn’t have to call somebody to be like, ‘Well can I tranfer…’ – no, I just make my own money.

I’m sure her father would be very proud of her. Check out what T’Yanna had to say about her recent dating experience after the jump. Also, her mother Jan Jackson shared her thoughts on the movie, Faith Evans & Lil Kim.

I’m okay with ambition. Fashion line??? I wish she would used her talents else where.

    Celebrity kids…Fashion lines; Rappers/Singers. Ugh!

Man no! Be trailblazers. The way the entertainment business is going these days. If you not willing to look like a dang clown..i.e. Niki Minaj, Little Kim, or get naked like Beyonce and Rihanna. Your talent will be lost.

And I’m not hating on her. It’s not what I do.

I agree. I sometimes want to hear more celeb kids pursuing medicine or law or something of that nature. For no real reason other than personal. We need more black dentists, doctors, and lawyers. I think we have enough fashion designers. don’t be afraid to push the envelope people and dare to be a nerd.

I can’t even say the dentist/lawyer thing, bc we are beginning to saturate those areas, but I definitely agree with your overall point. As an Af-Amer Statistician, I want to see us infiltrate SMET (Science-Math-Engineering-Tech) thoroughly – If for no other reason than to give me someone to go to lunch with besides Asians and Indians!!!! :)

@Obama 2012, not to be too intrusive; but I felt compelled to reply to your comment. It’s great to read that you’re an Afro-American statistician; BUT as a current law student, I can testify that when it comes to the legal field, Afro-Americans certainly DO NOT saturate this profession. Currently 1 in 25, only 4% of U.S. attorneys are African-American and there are very few African-American law students at my school, which is a pretty well-ranked U.S. law school. Just an observation

Kudos to T’Yanna and Jan! They spoke wonderfully and kept it real. You can tell that T’Yanna was raised properly and that Jan instilled good values in her by being a good mother & positive role mother. I like that Jan didn’t give the radio hosts anything slander to feed on.

And to the people saying another fashion line, keep in mind fashion is a thriving business and T’Yanna’s business degree can be utilized in many areas within the industry.
