Sure her first Vogue cover was controversial to say the least (VIEW POST HERE), but supermodel in the making Joan Smalls has nabbed her second Vogue cover of the year. And regardless of its political correctness, landing one Vogue cover let alone two, is kind of a big deal and instantly ups a model’s fashion industry cred. There’s a reason Joan earned the #2 spot on Models.com’s list of top 50 models.
While her last cover was for Vogue Italia, this time around Joan covers the May 2012 issue of Vogue Australia. Lensed by photographer Kai Z Feng and styled by fashion editor Naomi Smith, Joan sports a sophisticated look of sleek hair, a deep plum lip, and a Burberry Prorsum silk dress paired with dramatic leather gloves. The shot may not be as gimmicky as her Vogue Italia pic, but it’s definitely a better representation of the Puerto Rican native’s undeniable beauty.

Beautiful and exquisite
Both Beyonce and Halle Berry are much prettier than ugly old Joan. Joan is hideous without makeup.

Yet she would never be able to grab the cover of Vogue America. They only put black celebrities on their and not black models. Yet white models grace their covers all the time!
Holla at me when these chicks make the cover of AMERICAN Vogue. That’s the real break through. We are well aware that every other part of the world except for the states realizes that Black (among other colors) are beautiful.
Major accomplishment for such a beautiful woman. There’s some great fashion here also:

Age ain’t nothing but a number for these loved-up A-Listers. My BF and I both think so! He is almost 10 years older than I. We met via ~~Agelessmeet .COM~~ a nice place for younger women and older men, or older women and younger men, to interact with each other! Maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends
WOOOW she is absolutely stunning!! I think one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen.
When black women began to stop dressing for other black women and dress and carry themselves close to this that will be a brand new day. Its a shame she is rare among black women but her type is not rare among white women. Black women stop dressing like hoodrats with those ghetto dark hard drawn on eyebrows, tacky weave, horrific highlights- black women highlights are the worse hands down..just ugly and tacky, stop wearing flat shoes all the time and wear something else besides skinny jeans, wear a dress during the week, stop the nasty nasty nasty attitudes, take care of that skin, and stop wearing other people hair because the way you wearing it is tacky and lazy. Stop dressing for other black women, they tell you you look good but its a lie, obviously have bad vision because the everyday black chic is tacky and mean. Life is so much better the less amount black women you have in it because black women are haters allday, everyday…dont want you looking classy and better than them, Got you looking tacky and ghetto like them so you wont be called “thanking you all that”, a true hater tactic to keep you tacky like them and then its all good.
And a racist tactic is the call one form of dress “ghetto” when white people do the same thing all the damn time and it’s simply called putting an outfit together. STFU.
Wow, look at her eyebrows and lashes. No hard square at the beginning of her brow and no ghetto highlight powder that is unblended looking like a peacock. Notice, no tacky highlights in her hair. Skin care, wow. Dresses like that in can be found in the store but black women walk pass it to the hoodwear racks. Knowing a typical black women, she will probably take one of those outfits and add some hood fur boots, blue or red highlights in her hair, square end brows with unblended highlighter, flourescent gold eye shadow, add a pair of hood hoops and its a wrap…straight hoodified the outfit and hother black women will say she look good, lying beady beads…and they will sit and hate on the black chick that keeps it simple and classy like the pics. SMH.
She’s gorgeous but puts me in the mind of Tammy on Basketball Wives of Miami
