R&B singer/songwriter Jon B. returned with his seventh studio release, Comfortable Swagg earlier this year via his independent label Vibezelect Inc. He shared the music video for the funky, up-tempo title track, which was directed by Shawnette Heard, exclusively with Concrete Loop. Check it out below.

I miss Jon B so much. My favorite songs were “someone to love” and ‘they don’t know’. I just hate that he been gone so long that we have all these other white artists doing r&B. I just hope he keeps at it..and stays a step ahead. Cause this video is lookin a bit RObin Thicke like.

@Angela you must not keep up with Jon B that much then. Because he’s had 2 hot albums that were out 2004′s Stronger Everyday in which my personal opinion was his best album to date if you haven’t i highly recommend you buy or download. Helpless Romantic came out in 2008 and had some killer tracks on there as well. I’m not trying to be hard on ya or anything just trying to keep you informed and up to date. No,Robin Thicke is good don’t get me wrong cuz Lord knows i love his wife Paula, let’s be real Thicke is no Jon B.
You are right. He’s had 2 albums out that didn’t do that well. It’s not an opinion. It’s a fact. And no, you didn’t go hard on me. You are a fan. And I appreciate that. And no one is saying that Robin Thick is Jon b. chile. Jon will always be the first and the last. I find Robin Thicke to be boring.But some of this argument should be saved for people who are straight hating. And i listened to his last 2 albums. I didn’t care for them that much. Just my OP. But i’m well-informed on Jon B’s music. I just personally don’t think he gets enough exposure. Just like Ginuwine has 10 thousand albums. But you barely hear about him anymore. Chile, i am far from ignorant about R&B music.

I’ll give credit were credit is due. Okay cool, Jon B. is an og. But this song is terrible. And it’s obvious he is biting the love after war video.
As much as I love Jon B and have been eargerly waiting for his return, I’m not feeling this song right here. It makes me think of something that Robin Thicke or Justin Timberlake would do. However, it’s good to see that he’s back and I’m looking forward to hearing some other new joints from him.

Been a Jon B fan for years (long before I ever heard about Robin Thicke, who I am also a fan of), but even I will admit that I totally got the Thicke vibe from this video – even with the dance moves. Not saying he was ‘swagger jacking’ lol…but Jon B already has a well established musical style and has been around way longer, so he should not feel the need to. All that said, this particular song really didn’t do much for me.

I personally LOVE this song so went on Itunes last night and bought the album and i must say am enjoying it..so far other faves are : watch n now;make uplove(this joint is hot),drowning(classic),baby maker,only one(preety)..still listening album, and i think its a great album..i say support…
I am a Robin Thicke fan( am talking long-hair messenger boy “when i get you alone”, beautiful world era) and i can confidently say i was one of those on his forum and message boards yelling for ppl to support his Evolution album…but i wont lie i havent enjoy his last 2albums as much as his 1st 2, mostly cos i feel his gona alil to mainstream and raunchy than i’d prefer…but i still a fan.

Jon B is “trying to be Robin Thicke” ?? I about fell out of my chair ;o) I think Jon said it best himself on GOIN DOWN “Usually I don’t do this… but you left me no choice”. The man is trying to get the attention of this new generation, which is the same generation that would say Stronger Everyday and Helpless Romantic weren’t so great. You no nothing about good R&B music if your main concern is why these two albums didn’t sell a million copies. Good music isn’t just about record sales or exposure. Any true Jon B fan loves all past albums and this track, PERIOD. Anyone that says otherwise has Robin Thicke posters on their walls
