It looks like Brandy is next up on the VH1 mini-documentary series, ‘Behind the Music’. The new episode travels back in time and highlights the singer’s career in music, television and film. Brandy also opens up about the passing of her friend/mentor, Whitney Houston and talks about the backlash from her involvement in a fatal car crash back in 2007. Its funny when I first heard of Whitney’s passing, the top person I thought of besides Bobbi Kristina and her family was Brandy. I loved Brandy growing up, her style, music, her Moesha character and demenor and I knew Brandy loved Whitney, she always lit up in interviews when she was asked about inspiration and her idols and I just felt so bad for her and it’s even more sad that she died on Brandy’s bday. Everytime I see that interview when Brandy has her lil box braids and hugs Whitney and cries, it makes me cry because she was really close to her. I cant wait to watch this
Brandy was also the first person I thought of besides the family as well.

Poor Brandy, she is one of those celebrities who show you that stardom takes more than glamour and money and millions of records sold. You have to handle all that success and career and they oviously FAILED for her. Also, growing up in front of the world, for everyone to see is hard, because she changed, she couldnt be a teen her whole life and that transition, many stars failed to achieve well. What really slowed down her career was the fact that they (almost all the girls from the 90′s) got stopped during the beginning of the 2000′s. A lot of new artists coming, public image changing, more competition and evolving/not enough strong fan bases. Then you have the fake marriage and pregnancy and the car accident… But she will remain the real first black teen entertainer (music, TV, movies, endorsements…). Brandy’s vocals are splendid, I think she needs to gain confidence and stop crying cause no one sings like her, her voice is hot and she can blow. Plus, her music is always on point. I wish her the best and I feel like she can have a successful new era in the R&B charts. I dont expect her to sell a lot cause R&B is in a terrible state but best luck.
