Actors Laz Alonso & Meagan Good have just been set to play lead roles in an upcoming NBC drama series called ‘Notorius,’ a segue show from A&E’s ‘Breakout Kings.’ The two of them will play detectives who were once a romantic item, but are reunited in an effort to solve a murder:
Laz Alonso (Breakout Kings) is set as the male lead opposite Meagan Good in NBC’s drama pilot Notorious, from Universal TV and BermanBraun. Written by Liz Heldens, Notorious is described as an opulent soap in which detective Joanna Locasto (Good) returns undercover to the wealthy and troubled Lawson family she grew up in — as the housekeeper’s daughter — to solve the murder of celebutante Vivian Lawson, who was once her closest friend. Alonzo will play NYPD detective Will Sacovitch who recruits former flame Joanna to infiltrate the Lawson home, in the hope of finding evidence that Vivian was murdered. [Source]

BOBBI KRISTINA TAKING ON ROLE IN TYLER PERRY SERIES
When Bobbi Kristina told Oprah she was going to get into acting, she meant it. It looks like the mastermind behind the Madea sequel and plays, Tyler Perry has decided to cast her for a role on his TBS series, ‘For Better or For Worse.’ 
Perry, a close friend of the Houston family, who also spoke at Whitney’s funeral, has apparently given Bobbi K a role on his sitcom, ‘For Better or For Worse’, which has been picked up for a 2nd season on TBS. Last month, the network ordered 35 more episodes of the series and it’s scheduled to air starting in July 2012. [Source]
It is said that Bobbi Kristina will be starring in a recurring role as the daughter of one of the stylists working in Angela’s (Tasha Smith) beauty shop.

Personally I feel that Laz was doing a great job on breakout kings and should have stayed on there. Obviously I don’t know what happened with his gig there, but I would rather take my chances there versus playing on a show with Megan Good; no harm to her, but lets be serious, when is she not a sex symbol? Or ever in a worthy role? Questions to think about…
I agree with you. I loved him on Breakout Kings. It’s almost like they can never have more than one black person in a cast. It’s like its taboo or something. And Meagan Good puts me to sleep.
Should be interesting (Megan and Laz), can’t stand Megan but this chick stays busy so her agent is clearly doing a good job. As for Bobbi Kristina, good and all, but what about all the other more qualified Black actresses that could’ve gotten this role she was given out of sympathy/favortism?
L. Alonzo should have stayed on A&E’s Breakout Kings; this new show sounds promising, however let us not forget NBC cancelled Undercovers (Boris Kodjoe and his wife) after a few episodes. So unless the show comes off as a hit and millions watch the show from the pilot, NBC will cut it like all of the past new shows they have broadcasted. I hope this is not a game of russian roulette for Alonzo.
Megan G. is an decent actress, whether she will be able to hold her own for an hour long series and develop a character will be interesting.

Not throwing shade but this series won’t last past 1 yr. It would be just luck if we see at least five episodes.

I was thinking the same thing.. this sounds like a cross between Undercovers and Revenge. Undercovers however did not star Boris Kodjoe and his wife; it was another actress. The show with him and his wife was on UPN back in the day. I think Laz is better off on A&E’s Breakout Kings. Meagan Good can’t carry a series I’m sorry. NBC is ‘notorious’ for cancelling shows before they even get a chance to get a good footing.
I can already tell Notorious will be wack, people keep using these actors with cheap salary requirements and less acting skills. SMH

idk how i feel about megan good as a detective but im not gonna knock it she may surprise us but didnt nbc have a show similar to this with boris kojoe and another chick as cops but it got cancelled?? <_< hmm we shall see tho cause im tired of the b.e.t. type sitcoms just for the blacks thank god nbc is thinking outside the box
