With her new studio album, ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ in stores, Nicki Minaj has been busy making her promo rounds. The animated rapper dropped by Power 105.1 FM’s ‘The Breakfast Club’ and talked about her song collaboration with Nas, the huge rock on her left hand, ring finger and her thoughts on people’s criticism of her performance at the 2012 Grammy Awards. She also addressed the beef between her and other female rappers aka Lil Kim:
ON HER DISTURBING GRAMMY PERFORMANCE:
That was my best performance ever! Ever! Yo, but can I say something? I did a skit on my “Right Through Me” video. I did I a skit on my “Moment for Life” video. I did a fighting scene for my “Fly” video. That was the skit for the “Roman Holiday” video. It goes perfectly with the song. What don’t you understand? [...] Yeah, they didn’t understand it. But I was happy they didn’t understand it.
ON HER BEEF WITH OTHER FEMALE RAPPERS:
I’m good. And when I say that I mean like I’m not writing records about any girls in the game, past or present. I wish you guys the best and I really mean that. Like we went at it, the best woman won and I’m ready to move on. Like it’s not that, people make it a bigger deal than I make it. You know what I mean? I’m about to go and tour around the world. And this is my first time touring around the world. Can you imagine? I’m like a kid in a candy store. I’m so excited.
