VIDEO: TIA MOWRY-HARDRICT TO DROP BABY BOOK NEXT MONTH

April 12th, 2012

Actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict is passing on some mothering tips to her fans and followers with her new book, ‘Oh Baby! Pregnancy Tales and Advice from One Hot Mama to Another.’ In her guide, the mother of one puts a fun twist on pregnancy and shares her personal journey with her readers, experiencing pregnancy for the first time:

I just wanted to share with all of the expecting moms out there what it’s like to be basically be pregnant. [...] I wanted to write something that was fun. I wanted to write something where you felt like you were talking to your girlfriend. I wanted to write something that was coming from a realistic perspective.”

Mowry also stresses the importance of new mothers to enjoy being a mother but not lose their individuality, by saying, “Just because you had a baby it doesn’t necessarily mean you have to lose your identity in who you were and are as a person.”

Her new pregnancy guide will be available on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. You can head over to BarnesandNoble.com to pre-order a copy.

lol, must be nice to write a book about something so common and get it published…pretty much like that. if only i were famous, i could write a book about breaking my foot after falling off of my bike…or going to college…or buying my first home.

oh…lest i forget the stans…. “go, tia!” lol

I don’t understand why she’s writing a book for other pregnant women? Not to mention, she had a show covering her pregnancy…I don’t get it..

I love Tia, but how come so many new mom celebrity writing pregnancy/parenting books? I’m pretty sure they know just as much as a lot of new moms. You got Alicia Silverstone feeding her baby out her mouth and you have Mayim Balik(Blossom) talking about breast feeding her kids till they’re 30. lol Cute idea, but not original

It’s funny how every new mom thinks she’s the first woman to have ever given birth. I like Tia, but this whole “new mom movement” of the last several years where every woman thinks the fact of being a mom is novel is seriously tired. There have been mothers since the dawn of time. If you want advice on pregnancy, ask your own mother, or an older sister, or a girlfriend. Everyone knows a mother. Good grief. But if you can get paid for it then I guess “Go ‘head”

I like Tia, but I think that would be a waste of money for the publishing company. I don’t think she will sell many copies at all. Every pregnancy is different, if you want to know the basics ask your OB-GYN; other than that just enjoy YOUR pregnancy.

Well at least Tia will be able to give advise from true life experience. The kicking, morning sickness, weight gain, labor and such; that I’m sure someone will pick up and take advise from…being that she really carried a baby :)

I wonder if Tia will speak about how she had to shut down an entire wing at the hospital or how she had her peeps cover up all the security camera’s and didn’t allow staff in with cell phones. And how she had to sneak in, in the dead of night and then turn right around and sneak out after she had her baby because she’s a celebrity….oh wait she didn’t do any of that mess. I’m sure she has an audience for her advise. Congrats Tia
