Reality television’s finest Tamar Braxton, Evelyn Lozada, Kandi Burruss and Chrissy Lampkin get together to give VIBE magazine’s latest issue some seductive appeal.
In the June/July 2012 ‘Sexy Issue,’ the ladies dish on the reality of living their lives in front of the camera, whether they see themselves as role models as well as how television producers add fuel to the fire when it comes to drama. Peep what each of them had to say down below:
EVELYN ON WHETHER SHE SEES HERSELF AS A ROLE MODEL:
“As a parent I didn’t raise my daughter to look up to somebody on TV as a role model. I want her to look up to her mother, her family as role models. Also, I have nieces who watch the show and love it. So I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place because I’m being me but now I’m coming to the realization that I can’t do… I wouldn’t want my nine-year-old watching this, but their parents do. So I said to myself recently, “Young girls are watching the show. I really need to check myself.” Before reality TV was what it was, I had full control over my daughter’s television because you never know what they’re showing. Every parent isn’t like that. It’s not for me to judge but we’re talking a lot about sex; sometimes there are sexy scenes. I think it’s a little inappropriate, but regardless, I don’t think children should be looking up to reality TV stars as role models.”CHRISSY ON DECIDING TO SHOW HER LIFE ON TV:
“They offered Jimmy [her fiancé, rapper Jim Jones] a show years ago and he wasn’t really interested. It was something that sparked my interest. It felt like something fun. There was another opportunity brought to me for a show with some other girls and it didn’t pan out. I came home upset and disappointed and Jimmy’s response was, “If you really wanna do this reality TV thing, since they offered it to me, I’ll put a call in and see if they’re still interested.”KANDI ON PRODUCERS ORCHESTRATING VIOLENCE ON SHOWS:
“If [the producers] know this person and that person don’t get along, they’ll be like, ‘Okay, we want you guys to go to lunch.’ They know if they have a conversation about what’s going on, something’s gonna jump off. But nobody can make you physically punch somebody in the face. We end up doing that to ourselves from people being real disrespectful in the way they’re speaking to each other, pointing fingers all in people’s faces. Some people just can’t take that.”TAMAR ON BEING ‘POPOLICIOUS’ (EASILY ANGERED OR ANNOYED):
“I’m not like that with my girlfriends, though. If we’re all out, I’m more outgoing, more fun. I’m not poppin’ off. I’m just not gonna mess up my face [laughs]. But on the series [spin-off] with [my husband] Vince, you’ll see me in a friendship setting. I’m just as passionate. I’m not just gonna fight. I’m not gonna be a donkey. I’m definitely gonna give you my opinion because I feel like that’s why you love me.” [SOURCE]

Kandi is way above Evelyn and Chrissy so Idk why she even did the cover. Although she did get caught up in “reality drama” on RHOA. And whats wrong with using sex toys, that was so smart and buisness savy that she got involved with that market bc whether ppl wanna admit or not, pleasuring urself happens so why not profit on it?? Kudos to Kandi
Tamar can sing but her attitude sucks so Idk how far her career will go
SMH @ Chrissy and Evelyn
I never say anything bad about anything…I try to see the best in it if I can, but not on this cover for Role Models with everyone showing breast or too much legs…no. I would have wanted a little more classy photo and Im sure, VERY SURE when the woman look at this cover they will agree. It does not scream “ROLE MODEL COVER” its more maxim, smooth magazine, right?
Come on VIBE i know u can do better than that
Chrissy getting her 15 minute of fame, the only reason why she got it is becuz of Jim Jones, and sh– his rap game is whack as hell. Tamar would drive me to drink & I don’t drink (unless it’s sweet ice tea) Evelyn, just needs a good A$$ wooping by the right person, she keeps punking these wuussie’s. I actually like Kandi, Kandi can be a role model in a business since, she’s the only one on the whole cover that i would even think about dealing with. JMO
This is a joke, right?! A role model implies someone you should aspire to be like. Kandi and Tamar are the only two that I have any level of respect for and I am insulted that VIBE would even print and attempt to sell this. If Evelyn and Chrissy are the type of women VIBE wants are young girls to resemble we are in BIG trouble. I don’t buy this crap magazine for this very reason.
They look like hookers.
SHAME ON VIBE MAGAZINE. SOME of these “ladies” don’t even deserve to be on anyone’s cover or radar, and are an embarrassment to anyone with respect and class. Also, I don’t think “role model” needs to be on the cover next to anyone with their boobies spilling out everywhere.
Well shit…can i be on the magazine too since we puttin any and everybody on this b*tch.
I’m sorry but who told Tamar she was good looking? Baby bye, she needs to have a seat on that one for real!
THATS A DAMN SHAME!
Im a Tamar fan, dont care what u lot think. Uh… CHRISSY’s proportion is soooo OFF KEY!!!! bad photoshoping… pasting her on top of the other ladies.. KMT!
This is my NEW role Model: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oINOF_z7Lo&feature=g-like
Well it’s called the SEXY ISSUE! Not really sure why Vibe went there though!
the makeup and outfit of choice are just gross…
garbage
Um….. this is the most random magazine cover I have ever seen. Vibe is so low class now-a-days. What happened to having real celebrities on the cover? I can’t believe this group of people would even shoot together. Kandi, I thought you had more class than to do a photoshoot with wannabe celebs who do nothing but bully people. Tamar isn’t much of a bully, just a d-mn headache and complains a lot.
Ev looks like “How You Doing” in this pic. She is so uglyand I believe she’s adopted. Not only is she the tallest and darkest in her family, it’s clear to see she is mixed with black with her features, especially that nose.
And Chrissy needs to sit down with her stank a–! I forgot all about her. She always thinks she’s right.
Wow, so these are the “role models” young girls should be looking up to today? Yet another reason i hope i never have a daughter smh. And for even putting this nomsense on the cover f@*% vibe as a staff, magazine, and as a mutha$*%#%*@ crew
all of them look like men
I really hate that nude shade of lipstick Tamar has on, it kind of just disappears into her features.
I so agree with the person who commented that Evelyn needs a good ass whooping. The only reason she said what she did is because she has been getting some bad press about the way she acts on basketball wives, and thought maybe she’d matter for this interview. I can’t for the life of me figure out why she thinks she is now so relevant. Her or Tami (big mouth Roman)..Chrissy should stand in line for that same ass whooping cause she is a nasty mess as well.
Why it is a sexy issue with reality tv personalities on the cover looking a damn mess with the tile “role model”? What the hell is wrong with Vibe?
Kandi is a great business woman. Don’t know why she got caught up in this mess. I like Tamar but she can be a headache.

Headline: PARENTS BEWARE- MEET THE NEW ‘ROLE MODELS’
AGREE!!!!!
Christian Louboutins is gonna loose his “prestige” as time continues because now I see them on these birds who have reality tv money. Have a seat. Tamar- girl please … fail. Chrissy- Please have a seat you kill me with that hard girl attitude… Eve- girl Star Jones has a career and you have a career in ????? Have a seat why all the most fake people in reality tv and the bullies have to speak for evelyn. Kandi please have a ghetto seat. THis whole thing is a disgrace
as Billy explained I didnt know that a stay at home mom able to get paid $7613 in a few weeks on the computer. have you read this webpage NUTTYRICH. c om
Tamar looks scary…eek!!
This is GARBAGE, these are our new role models?! Are you kidding me! What the f*** is going on with VIBE magazine, are they desperate for money. They won’t be getting my coins!
wow, Evelyn and Chrissy, typical violent black women are role models? Sad, but true.
Kandi, you should not have agreed to be associated with that bunch, think you are not like them to that degree. Not a good look Kandi, you are about business and these clowns are about being loud, bossy, violent, black women stereotypes.
this is part of the reason why this nation is going to hell in a handbasket – fast!
agreed.
how are all of them the same shade…the media does not like dark skinned black women
Oh black women *facepalm*
I understand everyones issues with this cover… But did anyone happen to see “SEXY ISSUE” in the top right hand corner?
