Looks like ‘The Game’ just lost two of their starting players. Ok that was hella corny, but you know what I mean. LOL. Actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict confirmed the rumors of her not returning for Season 6 of BET’s hit show ‘The Game’ via twitter. Check out what she had to say below.
According to Hip Hollywood, actor Pooch Hall won’t be returning either! We stalked his twitter page earlier and last he said it 
was still being worked out, but that was almost two weeks ago. He also said he will be co-starring in a new series on the Showtime Network.
Seeing that both are key players in the story line and appeal of the show, not sure how the writers are going to fix this one. And to be honest, I stopped watching the series months ago and didn’t even know the already had their season finale. I guess both Tia and Pooch saw a sinking ship and jumped off. What’s your take? I would still watch and I will tell you why. Brandy and Cody Bell are stealing that show clean away from everybody. I LOVE THEM TOGETHER and I think they’re so funny. If The Game ends, they need their own spin off show and I’ll be watching every moment of it.
Oh I so agree, I absolutely love their story line, but the rest of the show is just getting messier and messier. Not making a lot of sense. I will be watching to see what happens, especially with Brandy and would be all over a spin off!
I’m going to keep watching to see how this turns out but I don’t know how you lose both of your main characters and still have a show. I like the story line with Brandy so maybe they can do something with that. But honestly, this whole story line with girl Melanie and Derwin is whack and has been for a long time. The show is definitely falling off!

BET sho’ do stay messin’ something up. I miss the old days when it was mostly quality. I think it really took a nose-dive once Bob Johnson left. Debra Lee & Stephen Hill really know how to screw up a good thing. She can barely get her outfits right at these award shows, I guess I can’t expect her to run a network right. smh Having said that, I do have to give credit where it’s due… they have improved to a small degree, but not enough. I hope the network somehow does better one day, but that may be futile.
Oh yeah, and if Tia & Pooch are gone, so am I. What would be the point in watching without the main characters!? I figure it’s the Titanic after that.
Well u can All BLAME VIACOM FOR THIS ONE they OWN BET so they make all BuDGET DECISONS. I honestly thing BET was just the middle man on this one but O WELL its just TV so people in other words MOVE ON!!!!! honestly when Hosea’s charcacter Malik started going through all those rehab and finacial changes I lost interest. All those changes in his character wasnt neccessary and now that hes not playing football he dont do shit. The TT character isnt even funny anymore Tasha Mack lost her side-kick with Kelly Pitts and the back and fourth conversations with her and Melanie doesnt have the same essence of when it was all 3 of them. I loved the season premiere this year and the issue of infertilty with Derwin and Melanie but after she was diagnosed with endometriosis and Tasha backed out being her surragate, I got bored. BET just fucked up the show. I get enough drama from reality shows, can there ever be happiness between any of the characters on the Game?? DAMN….

Ever since it was picked up by BET I knew the show wouldn’t be as entertaining as it used to be! I watched the premiere when it first returned and never watched again. It wasn’t the same anymore…..Thank GOD BET didn’t pick up girlfriends because it would have probably took it tpdown the wrong path

The show is not gonna last longer, Brandy album is coming out in June/July, so she’s gonna promote her album to the fullest and the two main characters are gone now, the show is practically done, they should just leave it for 5 seasons and call it a wrap.
nobody even really watches BET anymore and then they pull some crap like this, smh in my opinion BET just needs to go away altogether. True your right about that but what does bet bring to the table to compeate with other networks and to pull more fans in its like a watered down MTV lol but I don’t even watch this channel anyway unless I feel like catching the game and that’s usually on demand
They tried to ghetto rig the show with Tasha and Chardonnay and Jason getting in touch with his ghetto low class black side that was longing to bring him back to reality. So tired of the black ghetto folk acting like you are not real unless you hood. Acting like they are the most humble of black folk. Get over that bull. Pooch and Tia were the stars and BET is full of crap. Not ready for the show to end. Mel needs to get pregnant on the show first and Kelly needs to come back to try to steal Jason from Chardonnay and need to give Malik a hot romance with girlfriend drama. There is still alot to do with these folk and maybe for the next season they could get their groove back like they did before coming to BET. We will see, maybe they will beg Pooch and Tia back for another season. They are our new Martin and Gina these days.
The show has ran its course, period; the girl who plays Janah ( Durwins’ baby mama ) is hot.
BET ruined THE GAME. Its original programs are horrible. I thought that Trecee Ellis Ross and Malcolm-Jamal Warner show had potential; the only problem was they had absolutely no chemistry together. Lets Stay Together is horrid. It seems this season THE GAME has become the Tasha Mack show. I wondered why they have been featuring her unlikable character so much. Melanie and Derwin got boring once they actually got married. I wanted Melanie to end up with the Mehcad Brooks character.
The Game this season is taking a turn. It really started last season. There is so much going on, characters have changed so much. Derwin leaving his humble beginnings to this irrogant guy. One minute Malik is the voice of reason the next he is junky. I will continue to watch the show and give it a chance. Sometimes I think we judge the show so hard. This is the reason it is hard for movies, music, and television shows have become so hard to cater to black people. When the show was at it’s best no one paid attention to it. I use to beg people to watch this show. We can go even go backto the Cosby Show people said it was not real and false advertising for the black family. Girlfriend people talked about it bad. Stop appreciating it when it is gone and love it now.

Usually Concreteloop is so non-bias, so shocked that you’re criticizing one of the few networks that still is a platform for African Americans. Fact is BET does not have creative control over the show, they are an outlet for Akil Productions to display their work. Akil productions has 100% creative control over The Game. The show has had the same writers and executives producers since the CW Network. And for those that say BET ruined the Game you probably didn’t watch it on CW , which is why it was cancelled in the 1st place. The actors have never complained at their pay but the blogs speculate. Pooch Hall has another job, so now where does Tia actually fit on the show. I’m sure all of the cast love Akil Productions and the direction the show is going in. Shout out to Akil productions for bringing such great programming that reflect us in a positive manner to the big screen (Jumping the Broom & Sparkle) and to BET Networks (The Game & Being Mary Jane – starring Gabrielle Union). I’m sure the “un’s” (unemployed, unhappy, unwarranted complainers, uneducated about the facts, etc.) will still have more to complain about. yeah, i sort of agree w/ your assessment. i’ve read a few comments that were clearly written by folk that never watched the show. i didn’t watch it when it was on CW but i get into most shows only after they’re in syndication. this show really grew on me and although i don’t care for where they’ve takin it – i still tuned in because i love the characters they created w/ derwin and melanie. i don’t know if i’ll hang in there w/ tasha mack and the rest…
ps what’s funny is that the blogger didn’t even know that the season finale hasn’t aired yet. so much for fact checking..
I stopped watching this show a long time ago. It was just not the same as before the writer’s strike. I wish them both the best.
There’s way too much going on with the characters now. Everyone has changed so much and NOT for the better, and it’s not even just the storyline that has been lacking, it’s like ever since the cast switched to BET their acting has been poor. Everyone’s always going through something, there’s barely any “good times” ..
The worst thing Bob Johnson did was sell BET to Viacom. I know, for him, it was all about the money. It seems BET is the only network where upper management expects folks to work on shows and bring the network a solid fan base, but then they don’t want to pay some of these people what they are worth. Everytime someone leaves BET its almost always over a disagreement about money. Whether they asked fans to bring the show back or not, Tia and Pooch are rightfully leaving because they were PROMISED money they did not get based on the success of the show. The show has been received very well since coming back. They were lied to. The GAME is only reason I came back to watching anything on BET. Same thing happen to Monique, who had one of the best late night talkshows out, but after she brought a solid steady fan based, got folks to watching BET, when she wanted to renegoiate her contract for more money which the Oscar winner deserved, all of a sudden BET began air re-runs of the show before it was announced that the Monique Show was cancelled. BET has been on a continuous downward spiral since folks like Donnie Simpson, Sherry Carter, Ananda Lewis, etc. left. They let a lot class ans sophistication go for the crap they air today especially on 106 & Park. Now it’s being said that Terrence & Rosci are leaving 106 & Park as well. To be honest 106 & Park hasn’t been the same since FREE and AJ were ran off. Until they treat their celebrities right financially, they won’t be able to keep anyone that fans actually want to tune in to watch.
