President Barack Obama presents novelist Toni Morrison with a 2012 Presidential Medal of Freedom on Tues., May 29, at the White House. She was one of 13 given the highest honor awarded to civilians in the United States, which included former Secretary of State Madeline Albright, Bob Dylan, astronaut John Glenn and former NCAA basketball coach Pat Summitt.
