FASHION/PICS: J. HUD TO DEBUT ‘THE JENNIFER HUDSON COLLECTION’ w/ QVC

June 20th, 2012

With her big wedding coming up, Jennifer Hudson has been busy adding fashion as her latest business venture. The singer/actress is getting ready to debut her very own clothing line, The Jennifer Hudson Collection for the popular home shopping network, QVC.

The Chicago-native revealed to Women’s Wear Daily that her goal is to create a line for women of all size:

“I feel like I represent every woman,” she tells WWD. “I’ve been on both sides of the fence. I’ve been a big girl and now whatever this is, the average size, whatever you want to call it. But I wanted the clothes to be where any girl could wear it — no matter what size you are — and you could feel comfortable in it.”

On September 10th, Hudson will appear on QVC to show the world her new line, which consists of coats, leggings, tops and skirts, sizes 6-16 with prices ranging from $50 to $170. In November and December, she’ll be back to highlight some more new styles.

Check out some of her self-designed garments below. Are you feeling any of them?

The logo for her “collection” should be splattered blood in honor of the family members (particularly that little boy) that she sacrificed for the little bit of fame she has.

U think she’s famous because of the family members she lost? How insensitive and ignorant can you be? She is a talented singer and actress. She was famous way before that tragedy happened. How could u say something so stupid?

what type of sick twisted comment was that? in no way did it ever seem as if she was trying to exploit the tragedy that happened to her and her family for fame. she had won awards and landed movie roles way before anything happened to her family. and i think she has more than a “little bit of fame.”

You sir are a serious idiot. Hope God never allow you to walk in shoes like hers by losing someone in your family to tragedy and then have someone stand before you and say you were the murderer because you want sympathy~

Judah! I would like to meet you personally and stab you with a life. You’re sick! I’m sure you’re the weirdos on the train always screaming “THE ILLUMINATI!” Believing those conspiracies really got you looney. Pervert.

@ MOCHA LEE, DIAMONDCHICK, & LIYAHLEE a.k.a. “The Three Blind Lice”

No, I don’t think she’s famous because of the blood sacrifice executed on her family. I know she is. If she was truly as “talented” as you claim she is in either field, she’d be successful in either field. Her success is fabricated and she’s been suckled by her sponsors until they could generate enough buzz for her to validate why she gets so much promotion. She’s been prepped by her satanist svengali, Clive Davis, to take over Whitney Houston’s black diva role for 5 years now. She does not have the charisma nor the appeal to do so naturally, so they will force her into the slot. That is what they do for you when you perform the blood sacrifice. The most success she’s attained has come from stapling her stomach and giving credit to “Weight Watchers”. In her film roles, she plays herself; a loud-mouth, “sassy”, over-singing buffoon with a weight problem, or a subservient assistant to her idol, the white female. Not one of you know what the hell you’re talking about, and you need to stick to what you know, which is making sure the white man’s coffee is hot enough in the office lol.

      @ LOTUS

Cavewoman, according to you I’m “sick”, but you claim that you would “$tab me with a life” if we met (whatever the hell that means lmao). Miss, if I knew you, the only thing you’d be qualified to do for me is fetch my slippers and play frisbee with me in the park. Were those “weirdos” that you mentioned “screaming” because they were on the train with you, or because they were running a train on you lol? The subway is probably cleaner and less used up than that cesspool of contamination that you call a vag!na lol. Now scram….

First and foremost, my pu-ssy game is poppin and stay smelling like DOVE soap. Secondly, unlike your mother, I don’t sleep with random men and produce worthless little twats like yourself. Thirdly, the fact that you wear slippers really show the “real man” that you are. Now go run through fires and chew on neeedles you cu-nt.

Size 6 to 16 ????? hunny that aint what you call represneting every woman. Your sister is bigger than a size 16 and you were at one point as well. Wonder why your line doesnt have anything for the big girls??? Are you forgetting where you come from?

That’s exactly what I was thinking. You have not always been a small woman. Random Thoughts you took the words right out of my mouth.

@RANDOM THOUGHTS you spoke the truth. No matter the size this mess is either mediocre or flat out ugly. The collection as a whole is uninspired. This is not what you design for “REAL WOMEN”. THE END!

No disrespect but if you are over size 16 you should be more concerned with slimming down (like Jennifer) than being mad because your size isn’t available. We need to do better.

@Cmeez you must didnt read her goal which is to create a line for women of all sizes. Sizes 6 to 16 is not representing both sides of the fence. So for her to say that is a lie. That is the issue. Not the fact that she small which is not a problem for me. Im a size 10 but I dont like the fact that she tries to make it seem like she working for the big girls and clearly she not with this bland azz clothes line she put out.

@ Random Thoughts and Model_Ingenuity ya’ll hit the nail right on the head. I really think for her to come for an urban background the clothes would have some type of style. They are too bland.

Who cares if she’s known for a sense of style or fashion…she will be now. She’s a business woman taking care of B-U-S-N-E-S-S!!!! Regardless of what you’re known for, it’s what you DO that counts!!

You would lick Judah shi- if it was edible. Hell, you’ll eat his sh–t in its natural state. Sir… Ma’am can you please disclose your gender? You seem to hate women. Every woman mentioned on this blog you bash. So you’re ether a hateful ugly woman or a closet homosexual who secretly wish he had lady parts.

Her being a former big girl and having a family full of them she should know that to market to “every woman” you need to go way past a size 16. she know good and darn well her sister can not fit into a size 16. and also if she wants to market towards “every woman” she would have also included sizes smaller than a 6. Maybe since I am a size 2 I’m not every woman lol

I see there are a lot of haters on this post. Regardless of the sizes, the question was are you feeling any of them???
However, I love the red dress and the blue top. Hott!!!

Also I hate when clothing ads that is marketed toward plus size woman use models who are not plus size or even industry plus size(size 6-10). that just doesn’t make any since to me. If its being marketed to a particular audience then that audience should be advertised. You don’t see people eating dog food in dog food commercials(coulda came up with a better example but i’m at work lol)

    Ms. Hay-Mon

WOW, people are on this post upset because they want to be unhealthy in their weight and someone decided not to go past a size 16. WOW, use your energy to change your eating plan from junk to healthy food and maybe you too can be in that number (6-16). Always complaining about something instead of saying good for her in whatever she wants to try. And for anyone less than a size 6 ;well if you are a healthy 0-5; good for you STHFU. There are MANY designer’s lines you could shop instead of hers.

Y’all know the big girls get mad when former big girls leave the twinkies behind. I personally think the clothes are stylish and modern. No different from the other sh–t being spewed in the fashion catalogs. Black people and their hate for seeing their people make it. SMH! Hate is truly a disease.

i just wonder, are the only businesses you can be in when you are famous fragrances, liquor, and fashion??? Shoot, design a new car, furniture pieces, cookware…something different. They wonder why it doesn’t really sell and that’s becasue they are all doing the same thing. And, $50-$170 does not seem afforable to who she is targeting as the consumer. The other celebs will NOT be rocking her clother, so she needs to think like Tina Knowles and get those clothes in Walmart!
