congratulations to all the graduates, but as i look at some of these degrees most of them appear to be from the soft sciences. i don’t know that these types of degrees are going to translate very well to finding jobs, especially in this kind of economy.
I am proud that all of these BLACK YOUNG PEOPLE have a college degree
I am happy for them but I understand what ok is saying when you have a soft science degree you have explain the degree more so with an employer that someone with an education or history degree…. When you have soft science they will prefer you to receive a grad degree with concrete major that means one subject… Soft sciences have their pros and cons…. Pros is your degree can mean a variety of one subject…. Con is to employes you seem like you couldnt decide what you wanted to do
Leave it to a negative Nelly to attempt to bring the spirits down. You guys did great and there are jobs out here for those who want it. You could have majored in picking up dog do do 101, there will be a job for you, looks for it believe it will come and stay clear of all the negative Nellys.
