Actress Vanessa A. Williams is graces the Summer Issue of DENIM Magazine. The former Soul Food television series star shared with the publication about a possible reunion with her former cast mates as well as the new film she has been busy working on:
DENIM: TV One has began showing the Soul Food television series again! Is there a chance for a reunion? Would you do it again?
VW: That was so cute! We had been hearing rumors about Soul Food returning. The fans were talking about it and they were under the impression that there was going to be a reunion- a new launch. What was true was that TV One was going to put Soul Food back on- not new episodes. When the old episodes started airing again, we all [cast] decided to get together for a mini reunion. Working Soul Food was like the best times of our lives! I agree- we need to bring it back! Let’s #OccupySoulFood! It would be great to see what’s happening now with Maxine and the other Joseph sisters- their families and what they would be doing now. Soul Food brought us together as a family and we were all about perfecting ourselves- committed to laughter and love. Soul Food will live forever!
DENIM: By-the-way, are you working on any new projects?
VW: My sister Terri J. Vaughn talked to me about Sugar Mommas. I was on board and her company hired me to do the show on GMC. Rumor has it, that Sugar Mommas may be returning for a mini series. It’s a great show and we had a lot of fun with it. Oh and I’m actually on set for a new original film, Raising Izzie, directed by Roger M. Bobb along with my Soul Food hubby Rockmond Dunbar. The film is scheduled to air July 21! So excited! [SOURCE]

WOW She looks AMAZING!!!!!!
RIGHT!!..she has never looked better!!
Yeah she does look great, but in my opinion she looked great when she was natural too. She’s just a beautiful lady. But someone needs to tell the editors of Denim magazine that the word “shining” is only spelled with one n, not two! LOL
Yeah I was about to say that too- that she was natural on the show- dreads, right? She looks amazing! I was never a fan of Soul Food series
aww damn. Didn’t even notice LOL
At Black Pearl, a black man must have edited it, because black men cant spell.
Wow I remember how great she was in New Jack City, it kinda sucks how there are two actresses in Hollywood with the same name, I wonder why wasn’t her career as great as the other Vanessa Williams or should I say Vanessa L. Williams.
She has had a great career and still has one. Modeled and acted and is still relevant. Maybe not a household name like Vanessa L. Williams but there was also a lot of controversy around Vanessa L. Williams which this Vanessa has never had.
Wow, her own hair, clear skin and correct eyebrows, dressed non-tacky, look like she dont have a nasty attitude. Black women please take note!
LOL you’re silly. But I have to disagree. She does look like she has an attitude…
That look is hard to lose with black women. Many act like they are born with a hateful look on the face. Fixated nasty attitude face of the black woman.
She look nice
DAMN!!! She is lookin right!!!!
Not that I didn’t like her when she had the dreads, but this look takes me back to her days of Melrose Place, etc.
ROCK KA BYE BABY!!! LOL.. I had to say that.. she look great!!
She looks great. Doesn’t matter how she wears her hair. WTF is there an issue because her hair is different. Black women kill me. I wear my natural hair and black women still have something to say because it’s naturally curly. Just hating all the damn time I can’t take it. Everybody don’t want to walk around all the time with their hair all over their heads. And it doesn’t make you more black.
