Funny nobody talks about the opening line and what it means but we all nod our head to this joint…smh. The opening line refers t the furnace of hell it’s a biblical verse Kanye switched up a little and made to sound like gibberish. Whatever reason he put it in the song for he definitely tried to disguise it. I mean don’t understand why artists get upset over this whole illuminati stuff but still try to make people talk about it by referencing satanic phrases within their songs. I know that these lyrics are taken from a dancehall song. However the weeping moaning and gnashing of teeth part is in the bible it refers to the furnace of hell or the second Armagedon. Just look it up and do your research. Kanye is insinuating that he’s the master or king of hip hop, but to open your song with that verse regardless if it was a dancehall excerpt or not is interesting especially since he is always denouncing these illuminati theories. All I’m saying is do thorough research before you start dancing around to stuff. And just because something was taken from another song doesn’t mean the research stops there. RD,you are right. I’ve heard this song multiple times, I really liked it the past few weeks. I’ve been listening to it in the car and it always gets stuck in my head. especially the intro. actually, just the lines “It is a weeping and a moaning and the gnashing of teeth” were playing in my head over and over but this was before I looked up what the lyrics really were. Last night I was in the car with a friend and halfway through the song I realized something wasn’t right. I realized that everyone’s nodding their heads and shit to this song and we don’t even know what it’s saying- it’s been changed from it’s original format to make it a little bit harder to hear the real lyrics. There could be many reasons why Kanye put this sample in the song. One theory that came to mind was so that people would get used to those words, sing them along as if they mean nothing. It’s a very important part of the bible, because it tells you what to expect if you go to hell. Weeping…Moaning…Gnashing of teeth…doesn’t sound too fun does it? Another theory I have is to have people look up online what the guy in the song is saying. when you start to type the words in on google, only results of the song mercy come up. Before this song came out, if you typed those words on google, only bible websites would emerge. “…Will be cast into the fiery furnace. There will be weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth” That comes from a verse in the book of matthew. Yes, It’s occured to me that a jamaican guy made that song. He is blatantly referring to the bible, as later in the song he says”praise the champion he will lead us to goodness” or something like that. But as we all know,Kanye did not put this in his song Mercy to glorify God…so why?

Ok kanye fans, I know you’re going to be mad and say I’m hatin (I’m fully prepared for that) But I can assure you, I am not because once upon a time I WAS a kanye fan. However, that was during his “through the wire” and “Workout plan” days. This new kanye is garbage and so is this song. The song is absolute garbage and that’s WITHOUT even mentioning the fact that he is INDEED using the description of hell in his song. YES I know that he is sampling a Fuzzy Jones song (Fuzzy Jones is the guy who sings the original song) but just as so many comments before mine, that doesn’t change the fact that Fuzzy himself is using the scriptural reference. Therefore, not a thing changes when kanye uses Fuzzy’s words. I saw a comment that said Fuzzy isn’t well known…well, what does that say about the fact that it looks like kanye went out of his way to find a song by a guy, that people barely know that uses THESE EXACT WORDS? But like I said, everyone else already talked about this so, I’m not going to leave it at that. I tried to watch the video to see what everyone was talking about and couldn’t get past a minute and 33 seconds. Besides the camera effects, there is absolutely nothing cool about this video. Besides when they rap, kanye pusha and 2 chainz spend majority of the video standing around like lost morons trying to be tough guys.
