Who says you can’t drop music videos while VP-ing the A&R department of Motown Records? Singer-songwriter Ne-Yo dropped a steamy, new video for his lead R.E.D. single, “Lazy Love.”
In the Chris Robinson-directed video, a super-toned Ne-Yo sings about falling victim to that love that makes you abandon important duties. (FYI, the visuals of this clip may be considered NSFW – Not Safe For Work.) Ne-Yo’s R.E.D. album drops on September 18th.

Ummmm…wow…he’s toned up very nicely; but that video was a bit much to say the least. Certain parts were definitely choreographed sexual positions but overall it reminds me of sex with their clothes on. Hmmm…it was certainly steamy and helps better convey why he has two kids less than 1 yr apart but hey whatever floats your boat!

If you go back and listening to his first two albums, there was songs that was simliar to ” Lazy Love”. For example, songs like ” Mirror” and ” Say It”. But these songs was never released as singles. I like the song, but I dont like it as a single. Because coming from Neyo it might not get the radio spins.

Not being a hater in any form, but to me, all the newer artist steal their look, sound, videos and to many other things to name from older artist who fell off or did not get their proper respect. This video puts me in the mind of the D’Angelo video “How Does It Feel”. I like how people will tell older artist to have a seat and sit down, but all the newer artist is coping/stealing their swag. I’m sorry there is nothing like the real original thing, people need to learn their history before they go flapping their lips. Is Fantasia not giving you Patti LaBelle? Is Chris Brown/Ne Yo not giving you younger Usher/Micheal Jackson? Is Nicki Minaj giving you old Foxy Brown/Lil Kim look wise, while sounding like a cross between Old Dirty Bastard/Missy Elliot? Is Beyonce not giving you Donna Summer/Diana Ross look wise? Is Ciara not giving you Janet Jackson/ Paula Abdual, with the light breathy singing voice and dance routines? Is Lady Ga GA not giving you Madonna/Grace Jones/ earlier LaBelle, mainly (Nona Hyndricks? Again, why is it that most of the listed above older entertainers are thrown away like trash, when in fact without those of yesterday, there would not be most of the artist today. We need to respect our elders and give them the props they deserve and not forget where the ideas origin came from!
