Rodney King a prolific figure from the 1990s was found dead early Sunday morning (June 17) in his California home. Known for being a victim of police brutality by LAPD in 1991, his incident was the starting point for the 1992 L.A. Riots. More details on his death below:
— King’s fiancée found him dead at the bottom of a pool.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they responded to a call at 5:25 AM PT. We’re told they physically removed King from the pool and attempted CPR. Our sources say he was pronounced dead at 6:11 AM.
Law enforcement sources say Rialto PD will open a drowning investigation. [ SOURCE ]
King is also the first one to say the infamous words, “Can’t we all get along..” He was 47 years old and left behind 3 kids..

I remember being young and seeing this on TV realising that as a Black man my future was bleak. Although this happened many years ago we are in the same position we were back then.
i don’t agree. i remember being young too at the time, but look at it now i mean we have a Black President for goodness sake. who would’ve even thought that back then? yes as a black man i often keep one eye on the road and one eye in my rear-view at certain times of day. but still i think race relations have come pretty far. and yes it’s sad about the Trayvon Martin situation, but i’m just speaking in general overall. RIP RODNEY KING…YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE!

just saw him a few months ago on p. morgan, on cnn. he seemed content with his life, had put the lapd beating behind him and was looking foward to the future with his fiance. now, out of the clear blue sky, he’s found naked and dead on the bottom of a swinmming pool. this seems suspect as all out doors. so many black people mysteriously being found dead, under the strangest of circumstances.
I was a baby when the incident happened, actually like 1 or 2. However, I remember hearing about Rodney King growing up. Rodney King will go down as apart of African American history. RIP
20th year anniversary blood sacrifice. They leave certain sacrifices in “fire” i.e. plane crashes, car explosions, etc. and some in water based on which element they want to glorify. Hopefully he realized before he was murdered that we can’t all get along.
So if they “murdered” him, how were they able to get by his fiancee’ who was at the house? You think they paid her off or something? How are they able to kill these people without others seeing or getting “suspicious”?
He could have commited suicide… I mean,ppl are speculating that someone “white” killed him..that makes no sense at all. Rodney was a drug addict and an alcoholic..his life wasn’t worth taking..sorry,that’s how I see it. He wasn’t a threat. He was killing himself all these years.. No more suffering..RIP
So Rodney, according to you, decided after twenty years that he was going to kill himself by jumping into a pool lol? He was so miserable that after twenty years he said, “I know I can’t swim, but I jus can’t takes dis no mo’! Lemme go for a swim!” lol? You sound silly, and “suicide” makes far less sense, and is far more “speculative” than a murder. Sacrifices are performed on people of recognition based on their FAME, and/or how you were used to bring about some type of social change. People are killed all the time and it is made to look like “suicide”, especially black people, and especially black people of note. Rodney King may have been a nobody to you; but twenty years later, if you mention his name, people know who he is/was.
