The 66th Annual Tony Awards went underway on Sunday evening at The Beacon Theatre in New York City (June 10). Among the many Broadway musicals and plays nominated for a Tony, actress Audra McDonald took home an award for her win in the Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical category for her role as Bess in the Gershwin and Heyward novel-based opera, Porgy and Bess.
