Grammy Award-winning singer Jennifer Hudson performed at the 39th Annual Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular in Boston, Massachusetts. Held at the Hatch Shell on the Esplanade, the Dreamgirls actress showcased her powerhouse vocal ability as she sang renditions of Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good” and Jennifer Holiday’s “And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going.” Check out more pics and both performance clips below. She totally has what it takes to be Whitney’s successor. Whitney will never be replaced of course but Jennifer has what it takes to be the new voice of a generation.

This is one of the best looks I’ve seen on her since she’s lost all the weight. The dress, wig and makeup was perfect. She needs to put whoever styled her for this on the payroll asap.
I think this size she’s at now is a good place… That ULTRA skinny frame was UN-Cute…and the VOCALS!! SIMPLY AMAZING!!

I must say she looks amazing but cannot see her as being the replacement for whitney houston EVER! I an not a fan but proud of her success. I love anyone that is doing their thing.
