The stars were celebrating the Fourth of July holiday early at Debra Lee’s annual Pre-BET Awards party. From navy, to cobalt, to peacock, blue was the wardrobe color of choice at the night’s event.
For the fellas, navy was the go to hue, with both singer/songwriter Tank, and comedian/actor Eddie Murphy both opting to wear the darker shade of blue. Tank donned a three piece navy suit paired with a light blue oxford shirt. While Eddie mixed blue and black by paring a black suit with a navy shirt and matching navy shoes.
On Eddie’s arm was BET personality Rocsi Diaz, who color matched her rumored beau with a navy mini dress. She brightened her dark dress with metallic gold heels. Also paring a darker shade of blue with gold accessories was singer Melanie Fiona. She wore a blue knee-length dress that featured draping detailing at the bust, and accessorized with gold drop earrings, strappy gold sandals, and a gold accented clutch.
At the brighter end of the blue spectrum, British singer Estelle donned a cobalt blue floor length gown. If that wasn’t bold enough, she kept the blue theme going by completing her look with a matching feather fringed clutch.
Singer Tamia was another celeb who went for the blue and gold look. Her strapless blue dress was cinched at the waist with an oversized gold belt, and she finished her outfit with a gold jeweled clutch, and gold heels.
Angel Taylor of gospel duo (formerly trio) Trin-i-tee 5:7 chose the tried and true color combination of blue and pink, pairing her peacock blue mini dress with pink suede platform heels. A few choice pieces of jewelry including a colorful bracelet, and oversized statement ring, completed her look.
