NEW MUSIC: FRANK OCEAN – “SWEET LIFE”

July 6th, 2012

♫ Frank Ocean – Sweet Life
LISTEN BELOW

Frank Ocean and his pen team up with none other than Pharrell Williams for a track lifted from his debut album, Channel Orange. The song, which is rumored to be the new single is titled, “Sweet Life.”

Ocean is slated to appear on Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon next Monday. I’m very sure that viewers will tune in to see if Ocean will address his recently “coming out” letter. Channel Orange is set to drop July 17th.

So when will Kanye West and Jay-Z come out? Is it really a big deal for a good but relatively unknown artist to come out? If that’s his thing, good for him. I’m not sure it’s as big a deal as some are making it.

Let me tell you somethin’ dude, I love these type of topics because of how irate some of you dem0ns get by my comments. You admitted that you only shoot off at the mouth as much as you do because you love to push people’s button. Obviously you don’t have anything better to do with your time and obviously you aren’t being paid enough attention to by people that you actually SEE rather than just argue back and forth with on blog comment sections. Or maybe you’re so annoying that your family and friends (if you have any) don’t want anything to do with you. Either way, it’s a sad and pathetic way to go through life, begging for attention even if it’s negative. “Look at me!! Look at me!!! I use the word Satan and devil in every comment if people don’t agree with me and replace letters with numbers in words like “h0m0sexual”!! Look at me!! Look at me!!! When I don’t have any good come backs in the form of a Bible verse or a religious rant, I resort to “Mom” jokes!!” “I am JUDE-ASS! PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEEEEE!! PLEEEEASE!!!!”

@Judah I totally agree with u on this subject and I’m a strong black woman. The women on this site that are stating that they aren’t homophobes are crazy. I’m very aware of the gay agenda and for the black women that are complaining about white women taking their men, there’s a new white woman and her name is the “gay man.” It’s sad that people are trying to make this ish normal but this is perverted behavior and will create more problems in the future, especially the black community.

And why does the media considered Franks music as Hip Hop, he’s clearly a singer not a rapper just because he makes hooks for hip hop artists doesn’t categorize his music in the hip hop genre. U people are easily fooled by the media.

do have any other place online where you share some of your ideas/knowledge that someone could check out if wanting to learn more.. like a blog or youtube? and also are there any artists you DO admire or respect and listen to? if so, who?
It seems like you don’t like most artists so I’m genuinely
curious… maybe you could enlighten us as to who out there is dope in your mind.., and not a “demon,” “sodomite” or “industry illuminati puppet” etc etc…

      @ PRETTY GIRL

That’s good. You seem like you have some sense. The thing is that most females are easily subverted by things that sound good, but they don’t consider the ramifications of the ideologies that they accept until they’ve materialized…..just like Eve in the garden. Let me say this though; no one should be “h0m0phobic” because that word means to “fear”, and to fear implies that the thing you fear has power over you. Knowledge is the key, and especially in these last days, people have to KNOW why they stand for what they stand for. Opinions are not enough (Prov 16:25). Terms like “h0m0phobia” and “race card” were contrived in think tanks to be used on people who speak the truth so that they can be embarrassed into conforming.

      @ SD12

Miss, no disrespect to you, but the reason why I don’t take most people seriously is because they attempt to converse with me through strawman arguments by assigning terms to me that I’ve never used, and statements that I’ve never made. I’ve never used the term “!llum!nati” at all, so I don’t know why you have that in quotes. Someone else accused me of saying that I “don’t believe in the Bible”. When people mis-assign statements to me, that tells me that it’s a waste of time to speak to them because: 1) They’re not as smart as they think they are. 2) They hear what they want to hear. In regards to your question about entertainers; there are many entertainers that are talented, and you very rarely see me state whether a song is “good” or “not”. I speak on what I see, not what I hear. Black people in general are gifted, and all good gifts come from God (James 1:17), but can be used to promote $atan. I’ve “complimented” many “artists” on this site concerning their phenomenal talent and gifts, from Nas to Chris Brown to Andre 3000, so again, it’s a case of you seeing what you want to see. I’ve even complimented this man, Frank Ocean, on his song “Thinking About You” but the video proved to be about the promotion of spirit guides and the selling of one’s soul, so that makes my point that seeing and hearing ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. I hope that you understand what I’m saying.

      @ JORDAN

Dude I don’t need any “hate”. No one on this website “hates” me, because to “hate” or “love” someone, you must know them. They may dislike the things that I state, and they have that right, but 9 times out of ten it’s a case of a guilty conscience. Most of the people who attempt to argue with me are b!tter females or s0d0mites like yourself. If you’re right you’re right, and if you’re wrong you’re wrong.

I feel people have a right to have whatever opinion they have but I find that people that call gays derogatory names are the main ones that are gay because why would someone else lifestyle bother you that much?

I also feel a sign of gay man that’s pretending to be straight is a man that “get off on the idea of Lesbians being together but that same person will act as if 2 men being together is somehow so different from 2 women being together…

I say we all have “free will” to live your life….

      @ Fresh,
Do you really think he would fasley out himself for publicity? I can think of a ton of ways and things an artist can lie about to boost sales and awareness but lying about being gay or bi-sexual ain’t one of them. That could backfire and be incredibly damning to one’s career. It’s hard enough to come out and be honest about being gay but if he lied and people found out, he would be crucified.

@POOHCANDY1..Hell yeah. The gay market is huge, and you’r gonna see a’lot more artist trying to tap in that market in someway. That’s why frank said he was bi,and not all the way gay,so when people see him with a chick, there gonna say “oh,well he did say he was bi” you’r not gonna see frank with no dude.

No he’s a so-called b!sexual but this is not just for album promotion. It’s more for promoting the b!sexual/h0m0sexual lifestyle. That is why there are p.r. teams on websites like this one pushing propaganda and pro-h0m0sexual rhetoric, trying to pose as “fans”. He does not need to promote his album because he is already affiliated with elite people in the record industry. He never has to come out with an album again and he will be the top choice to write songs for not only black R&B artists like Beyonce and Rihanna, but also top caucasian stars as well.

You’re an idiot but thank goodness you said that. I have no idea what planet there is in the galaxy where black females are “h0m0phobic”, but it most certainly is not here on earth. Black females, for the most part, are very accepting of h0m0sexuals seeing as it is another branch of the anti-man movement along with feminism. It’s nice that you called out that lie though, because that most definitely was a lie lol.

Thank you lmao! You’re an idiot, but an honest idiot. I don’t think that Antoine is talking about planet earth. I think she’s talking about planet Melmac, with Alf and them lol. Maybe the black woman is “h0m0phobic” on that planet. Not here on earth. The first thing that the majority of them will state in regards to h0m0sexuality is “Who are you to judge?”. The second thing they’ll do is misuse the word “ignorant”. Most black females are NOT scared of h0m0sexuals, which is what the word “H0M0PHOBIC” means. Many of them are friends with h0m0sexuals and bring them around their children. What they are scared of is sleeping with so-called “undercover h0m0sexuals”, who they believe are more likely to give them “H!V” or “A!DS”. Furthermore “Christians”, according to the Bible, believe that a h0m0sexual is supposed to either repent for those acts or be put to de@th on the day of judgment…..but I do appreciate your honesty; it is a gift, albeit packaged in a box of idiocy lol.

I like the song have always liked his music. He’s obviously talented and hopefully by revealing his sexuality his music will be even more personal and honest. Still am curious as to what affect it will have on his brand long term, but it seems as if that is irrelevant to him.

To me , WAKE-UP, is right this seems like his p.r team , is making false comments ,,trying to make frank seem like he’s all that . This whole thing is premeditated , to me the song is boring quotes he’s nothing unique
Thanks for being real and not fake WAKE-UP .

he is struggling with Demons & you all are encouraging it. How sad.
You guys get so impressed by mediocrity. he’s a basic writer at best.

I can’t with these people on this site. I have never seen this much ignorance in my life. They did a great job on dumbing down America although some were already just dumb. How easily people are swayed and how confused they are.

The thing about Frank Ocean is that his music sounds nothing like what’s on the charts right now. He doesn’t write hits, instead he makes music with longevity and music that becomes classics. This song gives a Stevie Wonder vibe!

@ All the liers just stop I am also gay , and he has no talent , he looks like and sounds prematurely . I feel his paine , but I like good music and he’s far off from that , I wish frank the best .

I applaud Frank for his talent and bravery. Especially in times like these when lecherous bloggers try to out celebrities left and right (Perez Hilton for example). He made the decision to put himself out there before someone else had the opportunity to. Bravo, Mr. Ocean.

But I also question, was that the motivation? Someone threatening to ruin or destroy someone by outing them is just plain malicious and evil.

@Lulu I can’t speak for him but maybe he was just tired of keeping that bottled up inside of him? Maybe someone was going to expose him and he beat them to the punch? I can’t make that call but I don’t believe he, a black man at that, would out himself for sales or promotion.

Under Cover Lover and Jordan you2 should not be like that…people have feelings.
To presume that I’am gay and only Gays buy and like his music is just down right Stupid and
Irresponsible . I have a right to appreciate and enjoy Mr.Oceans music and talent just like
You2 have a right to like who you like.Hwoever that low down dirty tone and innuendo’s needs
To stop. I’m not so high and mighty that I can sit in judgement of this young man.

okay…so because i said Gays buy music that translated to you as a negative comment…? be real with yourself at least for the moment…your just looking for someone to bash…there is nothing negative about saying Gays buy Music…its like saying Blacks are athletic…a true statement and a positive one…now if i were to say Blacks don’t vote or Fat people are sloppy and lazy my statements would register as insensitive and crude(but true) statements…coming from a gay black man that actually buys music its okay to use the public the same way the public uses you…

I can applaud him for his honesty but I don’t see this as news worthy…NOW if he kept it greasy and was like “I am in love with Kanye West and I thought he loved me too. This publicity romance with Kim K is killing me…” Then I could see some headlines. Hint Hint

Eitherway much success…its a different world out here being gay is’nt a big deal…its his life and the lives of countless others. Maybe industry people should stop relying on the personal lives of their artist to sell albums…just a thought. Good music is good music!

its okay for Nicki to do it…she’s a woman and in most people’s mind being a woman is equal to being weak…as being “Gay” is equal to being weak…

Who is in your life that makes you think all women are thought to be weak. What a small minded thing to say and such sweeping generalizations on here make me want to scream!

Stevie Wonder. Jill Scott. Lauryn Hill. His vibe feels like their vibes, but something different. Conscious lyrics that actually mean something, and pure vocals that are not hidden behind over production or synthesized beats. Awesome.
